  1. I personally don't care if any of our stuff is posted to there...but they don't exactly feel the same way. In the future, just post a link to their info if there is something there that you want to share. Thanks, Don
  2. Just so everybody knows, lunch is scheduled to be delivered around 1:00 on Saturday.
  3. I don't THINK I have any but will look around.
  4. Here you go. $18.99 plus $5.99 shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/Rewind-Realization-Rivers-Johnny-Cd-Import_W0QQitemZ350066241966QQihZ022QQcategoryZ307QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. I like it but at 18 grand....add all the extras to put that engine in a touring bike and I'm guessing you are going to be well over 20 grand. That's a LOT more than the current Venture.
  6. I honestly don't understand anybody having an issue with the area set up for the planners to communicate. What is the big deal? It is no different that them doing it via email or PM but a lot easier. Anytime there is a group of people planning such a thing, they need an easy way to communicate. Having an area on the forum to do so is the easiest way. I never realized that anybody would get so upset over it. It is no more secret than sending emails and/or PMs just a lot more convenient way to do so. Geeezzz.....I honestly think that this is a ridiculous complaint but if it's that big a deal to people, I'll make sure not to make that mistake again. This entire organization is based upon transparency and trust. The private area is just a place to work out details without it getting buried in a thousand different responses that would simply slow down and bury the responses. Nothing top secret or sinister.
  7. Does it matter what mode it is on? AM/FM/Aux? Does it do it on any mode or do you just see this problem when using an MP3 player or Satellite radio? If it's just MP3 or Satellite, have you checked the audio out level on those units?
  8. Your mileage out of the Avons sure seems a lot lower than most. I would be looking at other causes I think. That being said, I just put my first set of Avons on so I'll find out for myself. I talked to my friend Bob Dakin a couple of days ago. He is local to me and started with the Avons early last year I think. He's got about 10,000 on his now and I think he said that they appear to be about half worn. Almost 100% of his riding is two up and a lot of that pulling a trailer. He is also a good sized guy.
  9. Spotsy, Sorry to hear about your troubles but heck man, just jump in the car and come on. You will still get to meet a lot of folks and I think have a good time.
  10. Yea, rained all day yesterday. Supposed to be sunny Friday though and 40% chance of rain on Saturday and sunny again on Sunday. Hopefully it will turn out ok.
  11. Thanks for letting me know. It should be working now. It basically just takes you to the "Paid Subscriptons" page which is also available in your profiles and the link in the upper menu bar. Yearly options are one time charges, monthly options are recurring. By the way, for the yearly options, I have $24.00 as the minimum. Donations of any amount are appreciated though, are there any here who wish me to add a lesser option? If so, and you don't wish to post it publicly, feel free to PM. I don't mind adding other choices.
  12. They are all color coded but I don't remember which is which. Actually though, you should unplug them all and plug and unplug them several time to wipe away any oxidation. Then use a bit of dielectric grease on them.
  13. Be there or be square. WOW...I'm stuck in the 60's. Far out.
  14. I've tried them all on numerous occasions over the years but have yet to ever see any improvements in performance or MPG using the higher octane stuff. So...I run the 87 about 99% of the time. Every once in a while I will run a tank of high end stuff through it just because of some notion that it might help clean things out a bit but even that is just an old rumor that doesn't really hold true.
  15. Yea, does that mean you are coming? I sure hope so, won't be the same without you.
  16. Yamaha offers some but I'm not sure if they are what you are looking for. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/accessories/acscitemdetail/5/4/83/404/all/1/4625/0/detail.aspx
  17. Basic concept is the same but the screws and etc. are located in different places.
  18. 16898 Hawley Road Oberlin, OH 44074
  19. LOL....Redneck you come up with some good replies. Clay...congrats...she is a living doll. You are starting her off right.
  20. OK...I hadn't actually watched the motorcycle video...I agree...that sound would drive me NUTS. Surely it's something in the recording and not the actual sound of the bike. I tell you, I would prefer a Venture with a whine or chirp over that.
  21. Sound aside, I think it's a remarkable technology. If it comes close to doing all that they say it will do, I think there are some real possibilities there. I am impressed with the simplicity of it all.
  22. Yes, I have one and a Carbon One lift adapter. Anybody else who is driving and can bring one, that will be great.
  23. There's a Super Walmart and an Autozone about 4 miles up the road. There's a Honda/Suzuki dealership about 14 miles up the road so getting coolant and etc. should not be a problem. Somebody mentioned that they hoped I have a 30 MM socket. The answer to that would be yes.
  24. I do have the anchors. Maybe I'll have time to do it before Saturday so it will be ready. I also have blue locktite. I have the RSV service manual on computer and hard copy. I have the first gen manual on the computer only.
  25. Yep...I have no use for that truck but if I could afford it, I would own it. I used to have a '53 GMC and really liked it also. Mine had a granny gear 4 speed and was a tough old truck. Wish I had it back also. Still, I love the old cab over. I must need it for SOMETHING.
