11 out of 20 here. I think though that I have seen it before and apparently didn't learn much.

His elevator goes all the way up but the door never opens.

WOW....if everything were to check out...that sounds like a bargain.

LOL...the ONLY problem with Facebook is all the emails that I get from very sexy ladies wanting to be my friend. If only I was so wanted in REAL life. Oh well...at least my wife wants me....well...sometimes...well...ONCE upon a time.

VERY nice. Your son did a great job on the design. I all on a lot of Signs by Tomorrow but not in that area. You are right, Gemini makes very nice products. It's great working for a company that cares about quality.

Yea, Diamond R used to make one but they no longer offer it. I used to make one but am no longer doing it either. Rivco is the only company I know of that still makes one and I have heard a couple of instances of them breaking at the welds.

Let's talk speakers again
Freebird replied to Freebird's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Yea, I have a small amp installed where the cassette player once was. Not sure how much it really helps but I still get too much distortion if I try to crank up the volume. I know that the bass blockers would help but I just feel that we need MORE bass...not block what we have. I'm going to mess with this over the winter and see what I can come up with. -
I've tried the Pioneer speakers and now have the Polk speakers in the front but I'm still not happy with the sound. Now I'm thinking about trying to fit a pair of 4 x 6 speakers in the front. Assuming that I can make them work, how much improvement will they be over the stock 4" round speakers? Don

Chroming abs plastic
Freebird replied to dlhoulton's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Chrome plated ABS is not just chrome paint. It is truly electroplated. I sold production plating equipment for about 12 years and a lot of it was for plating on plastics. It is done by first copper plating the plastic using an electroless copper process and then electroplating the nickel over the copper and then finally the clear Chromate. -
Thanks for all the replies. I got this handled today and deleted the messages just to be safe.

Dealer Assmebly Guide
Freebird replied to KiteSquid's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have now posted the assembly manual that Brad sent to me. Thanks Brad, I think it's a great addition to our tech library. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=275753#post275753 -
Thanks to BradT for providing us with this manual. This is in .pdf format. RSV Assembly Manual

Finally got home today around 5:00 PM. This was one heck of a long week and I'm glad it's over with. We have two of these sales meetings a year and the next one is the first of May. I'm already dreading it. If I have not responded to any of your emails, I should get caught up tomorrow morning.

I just moved it on the calendar. I didn't know if it would move all the RSVPs or not and it didn't. Please got to the calendar and sign up again. Thanks.

I'm really sorry folks but I had no idea that this was coming. As I mentioned before, my company just added the state of Indiana to my territory. In doing so, I picked up a convention in Indianapolis that I have to attend on May 28-30th. What are the odds. There is absolutely NO WAY that I can get out of this unless I want to lose my job. NOW...if 6,000 members want to pay $20.00 per year dues to VentureRider.org, I'll just quit my job. But since I know that's not going to happen, I have to change the date to the following weekend. So, Maintenance Day will be held on June 6th. Wish there was something else I could do but it's just not an option for me.

Been snowing here for a couple of days but no lasting accumulation yet. They are predicting snow every day this week though...through next Monday. I'm out of here this morning but I expect there will be snow where I'm headed also.

I'm almost 100% sure that there is no difference in them from '99 - present. You should be fine.

OK folks...it's time for my semi-annual sales meeting. I will be flying to Minneapolis tomorrow morning and will be spending the next week in Cannon Falls, MN, Decorah, IA and at our company resort near Hayward, WI. They are stretching this one out so I won't be back home until next Sunday evening. I'll check in when I can but this is always a busy week. To our members in that area, sorry, no time for visiting on this trip. Wish I could. Don

Looking for rubber seat bumpers
Freebird replied to jryan's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You know...after it laid here for about 4 years, I finally threw away an old seat last week that probably had them on it. Never fails. That is what makes me such a pack rat. -
I'm not saying NOTHING.

There have been many times here where somebody has had questions about the proper way to re-solder the class controller on the first gen or other soldering jobs. I ran across this pretty good page on how to properly re-solder connections on circuit boards. Hopefully it will help some of our members who have not done much soldering. http://www.streettech.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=68
