  1. Looks like this might be a nice option for anybody without a stereo that wishes to add one. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-radio/jensen-jhd910-radio/
  2. I think I would just steal the one I had already cleaned off.
  3. It is absolutely OK. I think you have my address already. For what it's worth, I've had the Samsons and the Khromewerks. Noise level was similar but the Samsons may have been a little louder. I do think that the finish and workmanship was better on the Khromewerks though. Also, the tips on the Khromewerks can be turned down, out or at a 45 degree angle. The MAJOR part is done. Files are updated and new version is installed. Now I just have a LOT of templates to update.
  4. OK folks....as bad as I hate to tackle it....I am getting ready to upgrade our software again. This is a bigger upgrade than the last couple and you WILL find some things missing until I get it all worked out. The functionality as far as posting and etc. should be fine but some of the custom changes I have made over time will take some sorting out. So....I'm going to get started. Hopefully there will be no MAJOR problems.
  5. No problem. Just let me know when you are ready.
  6. These folks have a lot of stuff. I've dealt with them and they are very good. Not always as cheap as finding parts from an individual but much cheaper than new. http://stores.ebay.com/PinWall-Cycle-Parts-Inc
  7. Yes, that is YOU Spear.
  8. Yes, that link in the first post is working for me now. I made some changes that will hopefully solve this.
  9. If you'll just order 2 or more, I think the $3.00 each should cover it.
  10. WOW...that is REALLY cool. Took me about 5 minutes to get it then about another 5 to STOP getting it. Really works well thoug.
  11. I have plenty of small patches. They are listed in the VentureRider Merchandise forum area.
  12. hmmm....both of those links work for me. I did make a change in the programming code before I did that though. I don't think it would help with the existing links but maybe will work from now on.
  13. Trying it both ways: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles___1988-Yamaha-Venture-Royale-XVZ13-White-Biege_W0QQitemZ270327347841QQddnZMotorcyclesQQddiZ2283QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item270327347841&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A727|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308 and a link to the same one: Venture
  14. It seems to have something to do with the way the links are being added. For some reason, if you just enter the URL, they work fine. If you enter a text or button and link it to the URL, it is causing a problem. I'll try to figure out why.
  15. He is supposed to get a price and let me know. It probably won't be too long.
  16. OK folks...I spoke with Eddie and he has two large patches left. His email had changed so he probably never got the emails from those who tried. You can send him a PM. His username is Eddie. He is also checking on what it would cost to have some more made. He has two available, first come first served.
  17. It was Eddie who had those patches made. It has been a while since I talked to him about it but I think he was about out and probably wasn't going to do it again. If there is enough interest, I can see about having some more made but the minimum is usually about 100-150 to get a decent price and I would need to know that there is enough demand for them. I pay for this type of thing out of my pocket and it's sometimes hard to sit on several hundred dollars worth of bells, patches, etc. I currently have plenty of VentureRider Guardian bells and the small patches. Would be happy to get large patches if the demand is there.
  18. Just wondering if any of you have ordered a flag yet? I think they are nicely done and would like to know when any of you get one what you think of them.
  19. Well, I never cared for the Caravans before I went to work for this company. All they buy is Caravans, probably because they are lower priced than many of the fans out there. This is my second once since joining the company though. They replace them at around 110,000 miles and I have to say, I never had any problems at all with the first one. This one only has about 25,000 on it now and has been trouble free also. The company has a certain dealership that they buy from and basically just buy whatever is on the lot. This one happens to have a different stereo setup due to the fact that it has the roof mounted flip down DVD player. I have never used it and the plastic is still on the screen but that is why it has a different stereo system. I've actually found that the built in speaker on the Zumo car mount is plenty loud now that I've turned up the master volume so I'm OK with it. If I want to use the MP3 player, I'll just unplug the patch cable from my Sirius radio and plug it into the Zumo.
  20. I've got it figured out now. It is the Dodge stereo. If you don't have high enough input into the aux jacks, it turns the aux off. I played with it this morning. If I turn the MP3 on the Zumo down to 30%, it turns off the aux inputs. If I keep it up to 40%, it is sporadic. I have it on 100% now and it works fine. If there is more than a 5 second delay between any MP3 tracks, it turns off. One it sees an input signal, it takes 4 seconds to turn on again. That means that you have to have music playing all the time or you won't get the navigation prompts. With the music off, if you get a prompt that says, for example, to turn in .9 miles, by the time the 4 seconds has passed to turn on the aux of the stereo, you have missed the prompt already. Bottom line, the Dodge stereo sucks in this regard. Only solution I can see is to simply use the internal speaker on the car mount of the Zumo. Wish they made some sort of device to plug inline to maintain some sort of signal on the aux input but I don't know of anything.
  21. That was YOUR speedo? I thought it was a sling shot. No wonder I couldn't hit anything with it. I just figured it was worn out because it looked all stretched out.
  22. It was indeed very server intensive. Every time somebody clicked on a post, the system had to scan all the posts to see who had read it. I thought when I did it that it would be a nice feature but I really underestimated the resources that it would consume.
  23. Yes, I found the volume control. Both of them. What I'm talking about though is that if I have the MP3 player manually paused, the navigation prompts don't work at all. So if I don't want to listen to music, I can't hear the prompts.
  24. I agree 100%. I had a RoadSofa and was not at all happy with it. Not only did it push me forward but the fit was terrible. There was about a 3/4" gap between the front edge of the seat and the gas tank. They would not respond to my emails either. I finally sold it and bought the Corbin which I LOVE.
  25. Hey...I've MET most of you...now stay OUT of the hot tub.
