OK....I'm not 100% sure but I THINK Harley starting putting the catalytic converters on their bikes in 2006. Most here who have done this mod went with the Road King mufflers. Stock take-offs can be had cheap if you look around. Any aftermarket or SE models should also work but probably more money. Several here have bought the catalytic converter ones and removed the cats but it's easy enough to find unused ones before the year they were added. You will need to make or buy a simple mounting bracket and a couple of clamps. Don

Sorry about the scare folks. I've had a bit of trouble with the server over the past few days. About 4 times a day, I get an email letting me know that the CPU usage is high. I login and it all looks normal, no problems that I can find. I was working with our host company this morning and they were tweaking the MYSQL settings to try and find the problem. Apparently we tweaked when we should have twacked or some technical term like that. Anyway, things are restored and back to normal for now. Just have to see if I continue to get the high CPU usage error.

WOW...didn't even know that existed. Looks nice but I would sure want to hear it before spending that kind of money. You are still relying on the 4" speakers to get the sound out and I'm just not sure that you can get $500.00 worth of improvement out of any 4 way speakers.

Radio, NavTraffic and NavWeather are $19.95 per month. I'm just not sure the weather is worth it because I don't know what comes with the basic weather. What I get it current conditions, about a 5 day or so forecast and a weather map that shows trouble spots within a certain distance.

OK folks, when I activated my Zumo XM, I went with the traffic and the weather package. I understand though that basic weather comes with the traffic. So what is the difference between basic weather and the full blown one that I subscribed to? I paid for 3 months but may want to drop the advanced weather next time.

That's a good question. I know that we have at least a couple and hopefully they will see this post and join in. My wife has owned and ridden her own but really didn't like it that much. She likes riding around the area here but not the longer trips. She doesn't own one at this time. Nice bike by the way.

I moved this thread here to the First Gen tech talk area. -
Haven't heard of anybody doing it. Do you have a link to the system?

Venturing out into a full time riding career
Freebird replied to Dragonslayer's topic in Watering Hole
Sounds GREAT. I would love to do something like that. I've very happy for you and now maybe you can get them to do a story on VentureRider. -
Sleeping is way overrated.

What? What did I say? OK....maybe I was out of line....so PUNISH ME... I am ready to take my punishment.

I've got my W2s but just haven't gotten around to it yet. The worse for me was a few years ago when I was self employed for a year. I THOUGHT I was paying enough but apparently not. When I did my taxes, I found that I owed another $14,000.00. OUCH...almost had a heart attack.

Don't worry about turning into a pumpkin. Based upon the VentureRider Women calendar that Beer30 posted, you will fit right in.

It was only about 6 weeks ago that I tried it again. No better here.

I have an LG and it works fine for calls. I don't use it for Internet as I have my laptop with me most of the time. I may have considered an IPhone if they weren't exclusive with AT&T. I use Verizon and it gives me the best coverage in the areas that I travel. My company would love for me to switch because our corporate plan is with AT&T but I tried it 6 years ago when I started with this company and couldn't even get a consistent signal at my house. They sent me another one to try in December and though it works a bit better, still very weak and drops calls. I'll stick with Verizon.

I haven't tested the forum with Netscape in a LONG time. Don't have it loaded. I usually test the functions with IE and Firefox...both seem to work as designed.

Ruffy Ruffy Ruffy....I am starting to worry about you my friend. YOU need to go back and look at the calendar photo again.

I'm not sure how you are doing it. I thought I had it setup so you could only upload one image. I used a graphics program to combine both maps into one image.

No, there is no mobile version at this time. It would be possible but a LOT of re-programming I would have to do. I will give it some thought but please don't expect anything immediately.

I used to have one at the bottom but I guess it got lost during some upgrade. I'll take a look at it again. There is a "forum jump" menu at the bottom right of every page but it may be more trouble than scrolling back to the top.

No there is not. I programmed a modification to do that at one time but then hated it. People can pick some of the strangest and hard to read fonts. I find the forum much easier to read it most folks just stick with the default font. If you wish to use another one, that is fine but you're gonna have to work for it.

Wayne, There are a number of ways to ban a person and I use them all. I had posted here about some of those options but was reminded by a caring member that it may be best to not reveal everything. I think he is right. AmnChode, Hi back.
