  1. I can look in the admin panel at the different usergroups and see how many are in each group. So I just look at the supporting members group and it shows a total count. I don't think there is any place it can be seen here though.
  2. Some people love it....others just can't take it for long distances. I used to run the Khromewerks on mine but they really bothered Eileen and I on the long trips. It was especially bad when you got in the canyons and those pipes were reverberating off the canyon walls. WOW. I finally went back to stock about 3 years ago. I sometimes miss the Khromewerks when I'm just running around locally but sure don't miss them on the long hauls.
  3. I too bought mine off Ebay refurbished for about $90.00 I just looked though and don't see any of them now.
  4. I have the Hopnel tank bib and trunk bib on my '99 but I have something else in mind and would like to match that fabric. It is a basket weave vinyl material. Do any of you know where I might be able to find some of it?
  5. Glad you decided to join us Mike. If you cause too much of a ruckus, we'll just turn the volume down.
  6. LOL...I THINK I'll keep all the body parts that I can.
  7. OOPs...sorry...I think I saw in another post where you were going to the dark side but I had forgotten. I don't think bringing it to my house would help. I would have no problem taking the wheel off for you but I don't know anybody around here who would mount the CT for you. From what I've read about the pressure that some guys are having to use to get it to seat, I just don't want to do it. Sorry.
  8. No problem, if the situation comes up, I'll take care of it. The eye is doing OK for now. It's a waiting game at this point. I guess radiation continues to work for months and maybe even a couple of years. I can still see fine at this time but they keep telling me to not get my hopes up. I go back in about 4 months now to have all the tests repeated and will find out then what the state of the cancer is. They say that I could still lose vision in the eye at any time...even as long as a couple of years from now. I'm thankful for the results at this time though. The biggest danger now is that it hasn't and doesn't spread. This cancer is known to spread and usually ends up in the liver if it does. That will be a very bad situation but so far, no indication that it has done so. I have years of liver scans and etc. ahead of me but I'll deal with that as it comes. Not going to live my life in worry and fear.
  9. If you can get it to my house, I'll help you out this first time. It's really not a big deal.
  10. You may be looking at two different issues. It is common to get oil out of that vent hose if you overfill the crankcase. These bikes are very sensitive to be over filled. With the bike in the vertical position, NOT on the side stand, you want the oil about half way up in the sight glass. if you fill it to the top, you will get oil in the left air filter and out of that hose. As for the cowling cracking. That is an issue that Yamaha has covered under warranty many times. If the dealer or Yamaha tries to deny it, scream long and loud because they have replace many of them. Some think that it is caused by over tightening that middle screw. I'm not sure but I do know that they can break.
  11. Hope you heal quickly and I'm sure you will. When I was recently going through all my eye exams, I was told that I have very early stages of cataracts. She said it was expected and they are consistent with my age. She said that EVERYBODY would get them if they live long enough.
  12. LOL....I didn't even catch that. I guess we should point it out NOW so that we don't confuse anybody. OK Skid...it is $12.00 per YEAR...NOT per MONTH.
  13. Per family as long as you tell me so that I know.
  14. Folks, lets not get up in the air over this. The fact is, the 7500 members is a nice number but if you look at all the posts, you will see that the vast majority of the members that have been active have indeed stepped up to the plate and it is much appreciated. The 7000+ members have registered over a period of years. Some registered and never posted at all and some never even came back. Some sold their bikes and moved to other brands and sites that better support those brands. There are a LOT of reasons. The fact is, most sites are lucky if 10% of the registered members are active at any level. I feel pretty good about our numbers and am not disappointed at all. I will also say this. I think that $12.00 per year is VERY cheap. That is a single dollar per month. Most folks could pick up and cash in enough coke bottles or cans to pay that amount. I do understand and am sensitive to the fact though that some people are going through some REALLY hard times right now and though they could probably come up with the $12.00, they can also find plenty of more necessary things to spend that $12.00 on. A few members have sent extra dues and asked that it be used for anybody who is truly going through hard times but would like to remain a member. I have honored those requests and have awarded memberships to a handful of folks that I truly felt were sincere in wanting to stay. I would hate to lose a single member that TRULY can't come up with $12.00 at this time.
  15. Not sure but you can contact him from the info in this thread. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20987
  16. They will be blocked by their email address and also the log of their IP address. There may be ways to get around it but it will require some effort. If somebody wants to go to that much trouble to save $1.00 a month then they need it worse than I do.
  17. OK folks...I THINK it is done. Within a few minutes or so....the task manager should run and automatically move anybody who joined more than 15 days ago and has NOT purchased a subscription to the new Expired Trial Group. At that time, those folks will no longer be able to post to the forums. At this time, they will still be able to read but just not post. I'm going to do this in stages so as not to shut people off immediately. So...I will leave it this way for a few days and then will likely change it so that non-supporting members will not be able to read either. I may try to set it up so that they can read the first few threads in a forum but no more. Don't know if I can figure that out or not but we'll see how it works out over the next few days. I repeat, if you are NOT marked as a supporting member but have paid, PLEASE send me a PM and let me know. Even if you have mailed a check and I have not had time to receive it yet, I will still mark you paid.
  18. At this time, the trial does include the ability to post but I can change that at any time. Right now, the 15 day trial gives full access. I will likely make changes as we move ahead and fine tune it to better fit our needs.
  19. No, he lived in another state so would have registered it there.
  20. At this time, I'm showing 1269.
  21. Moped is exactly right...I just looked at the receipt and there is a $5.00 late fee on it. Oh well....that doesn't seem excessive since it was about 6 years late.
  22. Works OK but too expensive I think. Black shirt with logo on back and small text on pocket area came to $28.95.
  23. LOL...heck...if I didn't mark me paid, I would lose access.
  24. You are good. Look at the post that you made. It says "Supporting Member" right beside your name.
