I will research this when I have more time but have any of you system admins seen this before? I feel that they are probably going to try and soak me for money but this one is new to me. Almost anyway. We stayed in Cornelia last night but are going to be in Helen for the next couple of night before checking in to the cabin on Wednesday. We haven't gotten rained on at all but it has sure been hot. For some reason, I can't check my email from this hotel. Internet is working and I can get my email from venturerider.org but they seem to have the entire Verizon network blocked and I can't access my email through Thunderbird and even the Webmail page won't open. So...I wasn't able to check my email of all the posts for the past day and can't get any email that you may have sent. Hopefully it will work from the hotel in Helen. This is the first time I've been able to get online and have my email not work. Looking forward to seeing you all.

James will be missed by the VentureRider family. I don't know how long he was a member but it was well before the crash when we had to start all over. His humor and words of wisdom will be missed by all. Godspeed our friend and our prayers to all the family and friends.

Yea, it was neat to see another member en-route. We ended up staying now too far from there. Got within about 20 minutes of our hotel though and came upon a 5 car accident. Ended up sitting in traffic for about 30-45 minutes.

Eileen and I had a great time. Bill and crew just did a fantastic job putting this all together. The location was perfect, the hosts at the hub were great, couldn't have asked for anything more expect maybe some cooler temps. Since my radiation and etc., I just don't have all my energy back yet so we turned in early every night and I regret that but it was a great time. Eileen and I took it easy yesterday. Ended up only doing about 300 miles and stopped just east of Memphis. Will do 300 or so miles again today and stay east of Huntsville, AL a ways and then get down near Vogel tomorrow. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I don't know how to explain the way I feel when I'm around you folks. Some have said that I should feel proud of the organization that I have built here but it isn't really pride that I feel. I actually feel humble that so many of you have made VentureRider a part of your life. I am honored that you have done so. When I try to tell outsiders what a great group of folks we have, the words are never adequate. So....I guess I'll just say THANK YOU to each and every one of you.

I too think it would be difficult to do but it is an interesting idea. At one time, there was a helmet on the market with some sort of cooling system in it but I've not seen anything about it in a long time.

It can wait but I wouldn't take it to the shop. You can buy the tool to do it yourself for less than they will charge you and you will KNOW it's right when you are done. Way too many dealers seem to not be able to sync the cards. I don't understand that because it's very simple but I've seen way too many that just didn't even get them close.

No, they are not VOX. You use the cb push to talk button to turn the mics on or off. The passenger push to talk button will also toggle them. You just momentarily push either button to turn the mics off and push it again to turn them back on. It's AMAZING how much quieter things are with the mics off. I'm telling you, they are a must have for these bikes. Here is a link. http://mic-mutes.com/

Juggler, Just my opinion but I wouldn't change them unless one goes bad. These coils can last forever or fail at any time. Replacing them won't do a thing to change those odds. I've had one fail but it may never happen again.

We could have easily made it tonight but already had reservations. We are at a hotel in Ozark, MO..only about 69 miles away. Got here early really. Stopped by the big Bass Pro shop and walked around for a hour or so. Will see you all tomorrow.

I live in Oberlin, OH. Would be glad to sync you carbs if you want to ride up. It's only about 1 and a half to 2 hours. I'm on the road now though so it would be a couple of weeks before we could get together. -
Folks....I am a firm believer that anybody who rides a RSV should have the Mic Mutes installed. They are simply fantastic. You can't imagine how much quieter your ride will be when you toggle off those microphones. The music sounds 100% better and the wind and engine noise is almost completely gone.

We headed for Arkansas later yesterday. Taking a LONG route and staying off all the superslabs. My route added a hundred miles or so to the trip but that's OK, much more pleasant ride. We only did about 275 miles yesterday and spent the night here in Kokomo, IN last night. We are getting ready to head out again and will probably only do about 350 miles today, again staying on the slower backroads, state highways, etc. Will probably end up somewhere around Quincy, IL tonight. Sunday we will do another 300-350 miles and that will put us down around the Arkansas border and only an hour or two from the Hub so we will probably pull in sometime around mid day on Monday. Just taking it easy and enjoying the ride.

No, it didn't happen for no reason. Here is what is happening. If somebody links to a large picture in their post, it causes the entire page to widen enough to show that picture. So some threads will do it and others will be normal. I have a hack installed that automatically resizes those pics that are too large. Then I got a PM from a member letting me know that some of the pictures that are automatically resized in the tech library open small even when you click on them. So, those pics in the tech library were useless. I have temporarily disabled my hack that resizes the pictures until I have time to fix the problem. It will probably be a couple of weeks because I'm on the road now headed to the rally. I will get it figured out ASAP though.

IN STOCK NOW. PLEASE GET YOUR ORDERS IN. The VentureRider Domed Decals are now available. They are the same size as the small patches, approximately 2.75" tall x 3.5" wide. These are very nice I think. The pictures do not do them justice. The silver part of the text and border has an almost chrome look. These are NOT just regular flat decals. They printed on a metallic silver vinyl so that the silver text and scroll work will have a metallic, somewhat chrome look. They are then domed with a clear poly that gives them somewhat of a 3D look. They will look great on the trunk of the bikes, your auto window, wherever you wish to use them. They are designed for outdoor use. I ordered 250 decals this time. If we end up needing more than that, I can order more later. I don't know WHEN I will be able to order more though. The price break came at 250 so if we are only 50, 100, etc. short...I will not order again until I think that there is demand for at least a couple of hundred. So...you can start ordering whenever you like. They will be $4.00 each and that includes shipping within in the USA or $4.50 each shipped to Canada. I am not a good photographer and the silver part of these is highly reflective...really looks like chrome and the flash really messes up the picture. Here is the best I was able to do.

OK folks...the decals have FINALLY arrived. I think they look fantastic and am sure you are going to like them. We are leaving sometime tomorrow and start making our way down to Arkansas. I plan to get them in the mail tomorrow morning before we leave for any of you who have already ordered. Any orders after today will not be shipped until we get back in a couple of weeks. I will bring some to the rally though.
