  2. Lol. Appreciate the confidence. It will be cheap enough to try.
  3. I'm actually considering something like this. The color would look good on the breather covers of my silver trike.
  4. As you all know, finding chrome accessories for the RSV has become nearly impossible. I was looking for chrome air breather covers and though I did manage to find one set, the price was crazy in my opinion. So I started looking for alternatives from coming up with my own or vinyl wrapping what I have, having the stock coves chrome, etc. Vinyl wrapping seems like a decent idea. Have any of you tried vinyl wrapping small parts like the breather covers? I don't know if I'll do it myself or just take them to somebody but it looks like something that I could do myself relatively cheap. One advantage to vinyl wrapping the stock covers is that I wouldn't have to switch to the K&N filters. I've used them before and had no problems but some feel that they let more particles into your engine. Also, vinyl wrapping opens up a huge selection of colors and etc. I was initially thinking chrome but I've seen some very nice carbon fiber options in various colors.

  7. Very nice. I have used the reverse a few times just because it had it but i Think I would be ok without it too.
  8. OH, one more thing. If you want to do this but prefer to remain anonymous, just sent me a PM after you make your donation.
  9. OK folks. Here's the thing. Many of you have met my son Dylan at past maintenance days. He has let me know that his finance's mom and day have lost their home in. Florida as a result of the hurricane. They are retired and living on a fixed income and are in. dire need of help. Alyssa, my son's finance, has set up a Go Fund account to help them and though I have made a donation, I know it's not nearly enough. So I have been trying to figure out a way to further help. I know that many of you would help for nothing but I don't want to ask you to do that for a family that none of you know so I've come up with a plan that I hope will raise some money for them. For each of you that donates at least $10.00, I will add a year to your membership here. That means that you are actually helping them for free. If you donate $20.00, I will add two years to your membership. So this will still cost me money but at least it won't be a lump sum out of my pocket. So if you wish to help, please go the the following link and make your donation. This will help them and will, in the long run, not cost you anything. Sorry but up to two years free membership is all I can afford to offer. So $10.00 will get you an additional year and $20.00 will get you two years. You actually save a couple of bucks on your membership dues. If you choose to donate, just reply to this message that you have done so and I will add the time to your membership. If you can help, that would be great. If not, I totally understand. https://www.gofundme.com/f/my-parents-recover-their-home-restore-hope?member=22367435&sharetype=teams&utm_campaign=p_na+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer

  17. Nope
  18. Looking good.
  19. Thanks for this thread. This group has always strived to provide help, not criticize. Some people are good at searching and others, not so much. Besides that, sometimes things change. There are new ways discovered to accomplish certain tasks, new products on the market, some products no longer available. Nothing wrong with going over an issue again.

  22. But don’t most rear tires have directional markings? That article states that tires with directional markings are assembled with the tread cut at an angle so that the thrust pushes the splice together. If you mount it in reverse rotation, any thrust would be opposite of what it should be. It’s not the driven tire so there would be less thrust but even friction would create some.
  23. Well, I did a bit of research on this issue and found that manufacturers do not recommend running a tire backwards. Due to the angle of the splice of the tread, it can cause the tire to come apart. At least that is what the one article that I found states. Here is is for anybody wanting to read about it. https://motorbiketireshop.com/biker-news/why-are-motorcycle-front-tires-backwards
  24. I know that Michelin does not make the Commander III in the 150 size for the front. They do make a Commander III 150/80B16 for the rear though. So I am thinking about just using it and turning it backwards. My question is about the manufacturing of tires. I haven no basic for this at all it's just. a question that keeps popping into my mind. When a rear tire is manufactured, I wonder if the way they lay the inner plies and etc. is designed to rotate in the specific direction for the rear. If you turn it around backwards and run it on the front, could that cause delamination or the plies to separate because it wasn't designed to run in that direction?
