Don't worry about that. I'm going to appoint a committee this year and their sole purpose will be to watch after that woman.

Sounds like it's about time for me to change the date again.

Trying this link again. Just make a change in the programing code that I hope will solve the Ebay link problems. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_rdc=1&item=160362059027&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp3907.m38.l1313%26_nkw%3D160362059027%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&viewitem=

I can only imagine the apprehension that you and your wife must feel. I know I would. Please make sure your son knows how much we appreciate what he is doing for all of us.

I agree...great color choices. I look forward to seeing it all back together. You DO remember how it goes back together right?

Yes David, plenty of camping space in my yard. You will have a lot of company.

Congrats Carl. I'm really happy for you both. Maybe I'll actually come and visit. Now ignore Dano...everybody here knows that I'M the mower guy...er....there's not a pond is there?

I had a similar problem when we went to the Colorado rally. It turned out to be a bad coil. Number 3 on my bike. Several others here have lost the number 3 coil also for whatever reason. V7Goose has been looking at the coils and has looked at a couple of bad ones and is thinking that the coils are possibly OK but it's corrosion in the plug cap that is causing the problem.

Folks...please take the car tire discussion to the darksider's forum area. Thanks. -
I just clicked on the banner here and it worked fine. I got into their entire site. The number though is 817-925-4901 and the email is diamondr@windstream.net

OK folks...let's make it official. Saturday June 19th. I know that is father's day but there is SOMETHING almost every weekend so that's when it will have to be. OFFICIAL DATE: Saturday June 19th, 2010.

I've thought about this before and it could be done. I don't know if it's something that we really need but hey...if enough of you want to do it, I'll set something up.

I have to agree ...WOW....is a good response. Amazing resemblance.

Very easy for me. Driver's backrest and KuryAkyn highway pegs.

Great job. I have also copied it to the First Gen Tech Library. Thanks much. How about something like this for the RSV.

Well, my opinion is that it is best to do them as soon as possible. From what I've seen, Yamaha is pretty stingy on the grease just as they are with the rear splines. I think that they should be done as soon as possible and THEN you can go many miles before having to worry about them again.

I don't know of anything on the market any longer. You can find used ones on Ebay from time to time. -
I'm thinking that somebody needs to find a new service tech. Unless they have recently changed them, they are NOT sealed bearings and certainly DO need to be repacked. I'm on the road and don't have my service manual in front of me but I'm pretty sure that it even has a section on doing the job. In my opinion, YES, it is a job that needs to be done. There is a quick fix method of tightening the bearings but it should not be confused with the need to do it correctly. The bearings can be pretty dry from the factory. They wear and loosen up. You tighten them but because they are dry, they wear faster and have to be done again and again. The only way to do it correctly is to repack the bearing and tighten them properly. You don't have to do it but if you don't, you will be replacing the bearings sooner than you would have wanted to. The service manager at a local Yamaha dealer told a friend that there was no reason to repack them because they were often worn out within 60,000 miles and would have to be replaced anyway. I counter that they are worn out because they are never serviced. It is expensive to have done but though time consuming, not that hard to do yourself. I plan to do mine this winter. I did the ones on my first '99 but haven't done this one.

Many of us have changed the speakers. I went to Pioneers and then to Polks. Both were better than stock but I was still not really happy with the sound. The stock unit just really doesn't have enough power to drive a speaker that requires more and the fact is, you just can't get great sound from a 4" speaker. I finally went with Edsets headsets and am finally pleased with the music.

NOT end of May. It's still being decided but most likely middle of June now.

Are you sure....I think mine do. Could you go check again?

No, it wouldn't cause it if the CB was off. XM will lose the signal sometimes if there is heavy tree cover or bluffs alongside the road.

Because I have a company meeting the week before, actually a trade show that is mandatory for me. Sorry but if we have this at my house, I want to be there.
