Just go to PayPal and select "Send Money". It should go to dk_nelson@verizon.net Note the underscore between dk and nelson. If it would make it easier for you, just PM me your email address and I can send you an invoice.

We will be happy to sponsor you. What do you need, a decal to put on your forehead?

Got you down. OK folks...there are now 18 mugs remaining. I talked to the vendor today and they are supposed to ship to me either today or tomorrow. I will get them mailed as soon as I receive them.

and THAT is why the vast majority of us would never take our bike to the dealer for an oil change. Well...at least that is one of the reasons. I mean, it takes about 15 minutes to change it and is very simple to do.

Yea, I THINK that Dunlop makes them all.

I think you are talking about the lower wind deflectors. If so, try Diamond R at http://www.diamondraccessories.com They sell some deflectors with stainless steel hardware.

Got my set and I have to say that they make a HUGE difference. I finally got to try them out for a short ride and was very pleasantly surprised. These are a must have for anybody who rides in cooler temperatures. It will be money very well spent.

I travel almost every week. Where I can stay is restricted by my company who asks us to try to keep it under $80.00 per night. That is not always possible but usually not a problem. I typically stay at the Choice Hotel chain in order to take advantage of their rewards program. The Choice Hotel chain consists of Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Econolodge. Econolodge can be pretty ratty at times so I avoid them. Some of the Quality Inns are pretty old. Sleep Inns are OK but a usually a step below Comfort Inns. I would guess that I use Comfort Inn about 80% of the time and the other stays are usually at Quality or Sleep Inn. Even the Comfort Inns can be hit and miss. Most are OK. A few are excellent. A very few are dumps.

We'll let this one stand this one time but we will be watching him from now on. He's now on "The List".
-
Haven't taken one down and got a price yet. You are on the list though. I'll let you know after I ship it.

If you are on a highway with mileage markers, you can time them as a guideline.

I agree with Pegscraper. It's really the salt that stops any riding for me. It plays heck on the wheels. I've already replaced the real wheel once when I thought I had cleaned it good enough. The rain is the problem right now. It seems that everywhere I've gone for the last 3 weeks there has been nothing but rain rain rain and then I get home on the weekends and more rain. I'm already sick of winter and it's not even here yet.

OK folks....there are 26 mugs remaining. Grab 'em if you want 'em. It will likely be a long time, if ever, before I order them again.

I know.....it's turning into a pandemic. We have moderators riding wings, harley's, viragos....who knows what else. It's a sad day in VentureRider Land.
-
WOW...that is fantastic news. I'm sincerely happy for you and I know that it will be a beautiful bike when you are done with it.
-
I think I remember some pictures also but will have to search for them. It is very simple though. Just plug and play. I used 7.5% also and it put it dead on accurate with my GPS.
-
No, it will actually make it a bit worse but in the other direction. I think that most of us have used a 7.5% correction with the Speedohealer. The Odometer only reads about 4% or so high so after adding the Speedohealer, it will read about 3% low.
-
Wait a minute....you said that you bike's speedo is reading SLOW? That is opposite of most. Every one I've ever seen reads fast. In other words....the speedo will show that you are traveling maybe 70 MPH while you are actually only going about 65.
-
Yes, all the second gen speedos are off. Most by about 7%. If it really bothers you, all you can do is install a Speedohealer. A number of us here have done that. http://www.healtech-electronics.com/

OK....at least you didn't use that four letter word.... SN**

Folks, I just found out last night that our best friend is getting married in February and she expects us to be there. This is going to be a one week ordeal for us to get then and then back so the cruise may be out for us in 2010. We have a member here that goes by Cruiselady and she has offered to look at some various options for us. Not only for Alaska but possibly even some lower cost Caribbean cruises. I'm going to ask her to jump in here and offer some options and then we will see who is interested in what or if there is even enough interest at all. So...I will turn it over to her. I'm sure that she will be posting here soon.

Not all Michelin Commanders are radials. In fact, I didn't even know that they made the size that we need in radials. The ones that I had were not.

I changed it from a linked image to an attached image. Not sure where it was hot linked from but some sites don't like that. -
Totally puzzled !!

Moved to first gen tech talk. -
What really matters is what it is worth to YOU. I have a '99 with about 30,000 miles on it. It doesn't matter to me what it is worth because I have no intention of selling it anytime soon. If I WERE to sell it, I would be asking about $7500.00 for it. Doubtful I would get it but oh well....
