Very cool. So now we have a celebrity in our midst.

I apologize that the chat room was down last night. There was a problem with the server that the chat is hosted on. They have moved it to a new server and it appears to be working correctly now. The new server has a new DNS address so it is possible that it could be up to 24 hours before everybody can access it. I just tried and got right in but it may depend upon how often your ISP refreshes their DNS servers. Hopefully everybody can get in but if you can't, just give it a little more time and it should be fine.

If it's like the one that I saw demoed at a bike show a few years ago, it is powered. The one I saw had a winch and cable but Thom says the new one doesn't use a cable so it must use some other mechanism. The ramp also went pretty much all the way to the ground. You didn't push the bike up the incline. Don't know if it's the same one or not.

That looks like a fair deal for somebody looking for an auxiliary tank. I checked out their website and that's a good looking tank.

I hate to see you moving so far away but I sure understand your decision. I hope this is the beginning of a bright and exciting new chapter of your lives. You should get used to that Texas heat in about 20 years. You will love the winters though.

I just subscribe to basic weather and traffic. I sometimes get a popup about a storm warning but when I click on it...it says "No alerts found". Is that because I only subscribe to the basic?

Heck...I WANT you under the radar...not really under it but right in it...that way I can get a "lock" on you and then a direct hit.

OH...and there are still 8 available. I do have one set aside for Aussie Annie but she hasn't answered my PM for her address. Has anybody heard from her over the past few days? Hope she's OK.

I know how to stick one. It is done.

Come on folks...let's be careful now. We actually have...or at least had...at least one Arab member here and he was a stand up guy.

I finally figured out the Harley attitude...
Freebird replied to BigBoyinMS's topic in Watering Hole
I'm glad that this was brought up. I got the email from the member yesterday asking me to delete his profile here. I've had a few such requests over the years and I know that people come and people go but this was an active member with almost 1200 posts here. He was very kind and gracious in his request and told me that he has tried to have thick skin but that it was just really getting to him lately. He pointed out a number of threads that started with nothing to do with Harleys and ended up as Harley bashing threads. I tried to talk him out of leaving but though he was again very nice about it, he said that it was just time for him to go. It really bothered me folks. The bottom line is, he is exactly right. I cringe every time I see another Harley bashing thread start. I really hate making more rules here and so have pretty much just let them go. It's hard enough trying to enforce the PG rating and no politics. It is happening way too often though. I've never made my feelings about the Harley or the riders a secret. I've come close several times to buying an Ultra and the only reason I don't own one is the simple fact that I can't afford one. That is not saying that I would part with my RSV, I love it also. I will also tell you that I've known and ridden with many Harley riders and have never had an issue with a single one of them about what I ride. Yes, there are some out there with the attitude but I've probably met just as many on other brands. The fact is, Good people are good people, regardless of what they choose to ride. Folks with attitudes will have those attitudes whatever they choose to ride also. I know that we have lost more than one member due to this issue and I sincerely wish that it would stop. Good natured teasing has always been welcome here and always will be but some of this has gone far beyond good natured teasing.- 60 replies

Just to let you all know. I am on the road again this week but stopped by the post office and shipped all your mugs this morning. They all went out Priority USPS so you should have them soon.

I've been thinking of picking one up for my wife's car. I already have a Zumo 550 that I use in my car and on the bike. Walmart has the Nuvi 855 for $217.00. Any feedback on that one? Thanks

Got it. That leaves 9 more folks.

Got it. Will get them out tomorrow. Got it. Will get them out tomorrow. Yes.

Got both. Ten more remaining folks.

OK folks...the mugs are here. I just spent a couple of hours getting them all addressed and ready to ship. I will get them out first thing Monday morning. There are only 12 left so if you want one, you best get it ordered. Don

Randy, I am truly sorry to hear this news. Please know that Marcie and you are both in our prayers. I know that you have been through a lot over the past year or two and I pray that this not as serious as it sounds like it could be. Either way, please know that we are here for you. Don
