  1. GREAT job. Copying it to the tech library. Thanks much.
  2. Yes, yours were shipped yesterday. Thanks. OK folks....there is only ONE mug left now I think. I'm going to say that they are sold out at this time. I'll check when I get home from Boston. I think there is ONE more but not sure so no more orders at this time.
  3. You'll have a great adventure and it brings back fond memories of times that I have done the same. My last such adventure was when I bought my '86 Harley FXRD. I had seen some very good pictures of it so knew that it was a nice and well-maintained bike. I jumped on an airplane and flew from Dallas to Tulsa, OK. Not all that far but still fun. The owner of the bike picked me up at the airport and took me to his house. A good inspection of the bike and a short test ride was all I needed to confirm that the bike was in the pristine condition that he had represented it to be. I paid him, grabbed the title and headed home. It was a great time and a wonderful experience. The only issue that I had was the horn bracket breaking and the horn falling off. Didn't lose it as it was held by the wires but it did scratch the front fender just a bit when it fell off. No big deal though. I hope you have as positive an experience as I did. I would inspect the tire very well and if you feel comfortable with it, take off and have a great time. Heck...it's a Bridgestone...most of us would replace it when we got home even if it was NEW.
  4. OK...I guess there are two remaining. I'm leaving for Boston this morning for follow up doctor's appointments so no orders will go out now until Thursday.
  5. Yes you are. Now have fun Roger Rabbit.
  6. OK folks...we are almost done with the mugs. Only three left if anybody wants one.
  7. Donation sent. What a GREAT cause.
  8. You have apparently NOT seen my bank account. There is a reason why I'm still riding my 10 year old RSV. I do love it but I've never owned ANY type of vehicle this long and would love to have a brand new one. Not going to happen anytime soon though.
  9. I don't think I have ever heard of them. Found their website and it looks like just another Voyager knock-off. The optional reverse is a nice feature though. http://www.triggtrikes.com/motorcycle+trikes+conversion+kits.html Personally, if I ever go to a trike, I'll likely bite the bullet and go with one of the real trike kits.

    PC Help

Well....I've been messing with these things for a while also. My first one was a TI 99 4A and used a cassette deck for data storage. Then I hit the big time and got a PC with a floppy drive. Next I got TWO floppy drives and that was state of the art. I was running DOS at that time. My first hard drive was a 20 MB and was amazing. I did mess with Linux for a few years because the company I worked for had a proprietary software program that ran on Linux and interfaced with industrial PLCs. That was in the earlier Linux days and everything was a major thing..even the simple task of formatting a floppy. I know that everybody complains about Windows but I'm perfectly happy with my Windows XP. Berfore XP, I used Windows NT and later Windows 2000 and they worked pretty well for me also.
  11. Well what? I haven't been home long enough to take a picture of anything.
  12. Yes...but THAT worked to my advantage.
  13. Geeezzz......sounds like all of you had more fun that I did. Now I wish I had stayed home.
  14. I've got my order in for a fleece and 4 shirts. Eileen already has the fleece. Can't wait to see get them.
  15. My wife bought me the Tom Tom Rider 2 last Christmas. It seemed like a good unit but it has no hard wired audio output so I couldn't tie it into the RSV sound system. It is bluetooth out only and unless you want to buy some more gadgets to connect it via bluetooth, you won't be able to hear it through your headsets. I ended up taking it back and getting the Garmin Zumo 550 and have been very pleased with it.
  16. Looks like it would be VERY easy to build. At the price of steel now days, don't know how cheap you could actually build it though.
  17. I honestly think that either of those products would be just fine. I personally use the 50/50 Honda mix that I pick up at the local Honda motorcycle dealership. So no, I have not used either of those but don't think that there would be a problem.
  18. LOL...I SEE YOU. I'm not too far from the area but of course am never home.
  19. Great job. I have copied the first post to the Second Gen Tech Library.
  20. We have a number of Star members here and I know that there are some great members in that organization. I will never join due to an issue I had long ago with Alan Cease. I never joined after my free one year membership was up. He will never get a dime of my money. There are a couple of things in their "guidelines" that really irk me. 3. Links to other competing organizations, or non G rated sites. Vendor links should be put on the LINKS page. If we implemented this policy then anybody who posts such links to the Star information would be banned from VentureRider. I don't mind the posts but hate that it is so one sided when they don't allow the same. This is somewhat the reason that Alan and I got cross ways with each other years ago. 9. Personal grievances between members, STAR Touring and Riding Association, Star Motorcycles, Yamaha, dealers, vendors, or other organizations. Don't know if they still enforce it but there was a time when you were absolutely NOT allowed to say anything bad about Yamaha. I know of more than one person who was booted from Star for voicing some problems that they were having with their bikes and Yamaha would not take care of the issues. Not trying to convince anybody here to NOT join Star. They have some great members and it would be one of the finest clubs around, in my opinion, if it weren't for Alan Cease and maybe some of his senior officers. Sorry, but needed to let you all know how I feel about it.
  21. Very nicely done. Looks like a very informative and enjoyable site for those who live in or visit the state. Even enjoyable for those who don't.
  22. Yes, what he said.
  23. Not yet...but I'm still looking.
  24. I have 6 more. First come, first served.
  25. Annie is doing great. She is a wonderful dog. Very well behaved and very loving. Eileen insisted that we even take her with us over the weekend. She did great. I'll try to get some new pictures soon. She has settled right in here though.
