  1. Gregg, You make some good points. The thing is though, it's not like people are publicly chastised or receive threatening emails when a mistake is made. They may receive an email telling them that it was slightly over the line but sometimes, the post is simply deleted. That alone should be an indication to them that they had pushed it a bit too far. If somebody were to be stubborn and keep trying it then there would probably be a more serious talk with them but that has not been a problem.
  2. I gave up and just left it sitting on the counter.

  4. Over the top.
  5. It's been a couple of years since we have done one and I would like to do it again. I think it's too late to get it done for 2010 though.
  6. hmmmm...... dust off cover sit in hot tub with coffee and Bailey's
  7. I've got an old '71 John Deere with snow blower on it and it works great. I just fire it up and point the discharge SOUTH. I send it all down to you folks that think it is so pretty.
  8. Glad you made it home safely and that you both had a nice time.
  9. I'm using 3.5 and it works great. BUT....the company recently sent me a new laptop to replace my old one. On the old one, when I upgraded to Firefox 3.5, I had all kinds of problems with it and ended up going back to the older version. When I did a clean install of Firefox 3.5 on the new computer, everything worked great.
  10. I do the same thing. I use the suction mount in my work car and the ram mount on the bike. I use the lighter adapter for the van and used the wiring for the hard wiring that came with it for the bike. All I have to do is remove the 550 from the cradle to move it back and forth. Works great.
  11. Hey Dan...pick me up a Glock 30 if you see one there.
  12. Geeze Buddy.... You know you're a redneck if..........................
  13. I agree that if somebody wanted to push the issue then it could be a problem. But come on, this is crazy. It is obviously a motorcycle.
  14. The home page is not really set up to be used as the main forum. I know that some folks like to use the home page exactly the way that you are doing it but many of us click on "Forums" in the menu bar and come to the actual forum. There you have other options as pointed out. New Posts seems to be the way that many use it. From the main forum page under the left box that says "User's Login", you also have New Post and Today's Posts. To answer your question though, there is not a way to increase the number of posts on the home page.
  15. I would just say that I don't think I would purchase an '84 for the purpose of using the carb diaphragms unless you know they have been recently replaced. The odds of the 26 year old diaphragms being any better than the ones you need to replace on your '88 are pretty slim.
  16. Yes, they are the same but what would be wrong with your old ones? Just curious. By the way, I don't know how the ones you found are priced but Pinwall Cycle usually has several sets listed on Ebay in their Ebay store if you want to compare prices.
  17. Just another little note here folks. CHRISTMAS is upon us. The head wraps, shirts, fleeces are FANTASTIC Christmas presents do what you are all waiting for. I love the shirts but the Fleeces are especially nice. Very high quality and VERY warm and comfortable.
  18. I agree. I even use my MP3 player at home. I have ALL my cds on my Ipod and simply plug it into my receiver and use it instead of going through all my cds to find what I want. I also have Sirius in the house and use it a lot also.
  19. It comes with a standard bus type glass fuse. I really don't remember the amps though.
  20. This is not a court of law. It is a private club that tries to enforce a few basic rules while at the same time not trying to come across as being heavy handed. I'm sorry but I don't see a need to post an extensive list of words that should not be used or jokes that should not be posted. This topic has been beat to death. All we ask is that folks try to exercise some discretion in what they post.
  21. Dylan is close but needs to get busy if he is to finish. All that remains for him at this time is his project. I really hope that he does it. He has about 8 more months to get it done.
  22. I've also had my fairing off many times and I certainly don't THINK that you can remove the chrome around the light that way. There is ONE screw and you have to remove it to remove the front of the fairing after removing all the allen head screws on the inner fairing.
  23. OK...this may be a dumb question but did your dealer install the switch? They do come with a switch and most I think were installed beside the 12volt receptacle on the left side of the fairing. It was a rubber covered push button switch and they weren't very good quality. That would be the first thing that I would check.
  24. Click on "Classifieds" in the upper menu bar. The St. Jude auctions are the top category there. Sorry to hear of your losses and also your own health issues. I've faced similar losses over the past few years and can relate.
  25. I used to have the Khromewerks but finally got tired of noise and went back to stock. If they are in good shape, that is a bargain on them. They are much louder than the stock Road King mufflers. They can be repacked if they get TOO loud our you can remove all the packing if you want them louder. As for how hard they hard to install, they use the same mounts as the stock mufflers. I would say it's about a 30-45 minute job to swap them. I think that the Khromewerks are some of the best in regards to quality.
