  1. Not completely gone, but limited access. Will check in when I can. I have to fly to Minneapolis tomorrow and then drive to the company resort near Hayward, WI for our semi-annual sales meeting. They do have WIFI there but only in the lodge, not in the cabins so I can only check in quickly once or twice a day. Will be returning very late Friday night. Hope you all have a great week and remember me while I am there getting my semi-annual attitude adjustment.
  2. Sure wish I could have been there. Even though we still see you on here from time to time, we still miss you Jeff. As for being sexy? hmmm.....I've gotta say...you never were really my type.
  3. I worked on it for you. Seems to b e OK now.
  4. Later news reports said that it was a failed Russian missile test.
  5. I don't know about supporting those hitches but I'm pretty sure that they still sell the pin to replace a standard ball. Probably best to just contact them directly to be sure. http://www.bushtec.com/contact.html I do know that Bushtec is under new ownership. When I contacted Andrew Preston last year about buying a trailer for our grand prize, he told me that the Preston family had sold the company but he has stayed on as general manager.
  6. The Bushtec hitch comes with the pin welded on. They also sell just a pin though that replaces the ball on a standard stinger. That is what you will want if you already have a hitch.
  7. Yes, I agree with you. They should be the same for your bike as in that post. Mine is an RSV and they are a bit different I think. Maybe one of our RSTD owners will chime in here and offer some more assistance. I'm like you though, I can't imagine that you would have to grind on anything.
  8. Something doesn't sound right. It's been several years since I installed mine but I never had to grind anything. Shouldn't be necessary. Are you SURE they sent you the correct kit?
  9. I've never seen one but it's pretty darn cool.
  10. I think this is a great idea but some of the things being mentioned are already well documented in the tech library.
  11. HEY...NOT FAIR. OK....let's start a new tradition. It will be call a "NO RIDE SYMPATHY DAY" and will be dedicated to of of us who are stuck in the nasty northern winter areas. NOBODY will be allowed to ride on the "NO RIDE SYMPATHY DAY".
  12. Really am sorry to hear the news. It is never a good time but this is especially a bad time. Please let her know that she is in our thoughts and prayers.
  13. The Rebel is a air cooled parallel twin. They are very good bikes. It would be a tough decision for me between it and the Yamaha. Both are very reliable. I think it would just come down to individual preference.
  14. Great Job as usual Tom. Thanks much for all that you are doing. Great stocking stuffers.
  15. Hey SMARTY...if you are THAT busy...you sure don't want to take on the task of correcting all MY mistakes.
  16. You have no reason to apologize. I think it's good that it was brought to everybody's attention.
  17. I guess any company can have a problem at one time or another but I've installed a Clearview on my own bike and for several other people and they have all fit perfectly. Sorry you guys had a problem but I think they make the best shield on the market. Also, I'm going to move your posts and my reply to the general tech talk area. I don't want to deny you the opportunity of sharing your concerns but this area is to tell folks about the vendors that have supported the club and offered discounts.

    Why?

Having read all these posts...I'm thinking that maybe I should shut the site down until spring.
  19. Yes, it was poorly worded as I just cut and pasted the info that Tom sent me which was confusing when posted by me. I've reworded the ad. Thanks for pointing it out.
  20. I don't but I know that it is very important that they be installed properly and that means having them positioned exactly right over your ears and also not having them too far from your ears. I have made the mistake of cutting too deep a hole in the helmet and having them too far from the ear. They should be as close as possible.
  21. They are just a model of the Firestik antennas that many of us use.
  22. After reading this post, I went to Ebay to see what they looked like. VERY COOL idea. Many years ago, I bought, sold and collected knives. I really enjoyed it and had several hundred at the time. I even made a couple of knives from saw blades and etc. but had never seen these made from railroad spikes.
  23. Would have been for a good cause but it looks like he has now won. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,579773,00.html
  24. I'll jump on this band wagon also. I like my dual Fireflies.
