  1. Sorry, I don't have any pictures. I did at one time but have lost them over the years. Rick Butler and I did mine in my garage when I lived in Dallas almost 10 years ago. It is a pretty big job though. Even doing it my way, hanging the fairing and not unhooking any of the wires, it was still a 5 to 6 hour job if I remember correctly.
  2. You will both be on our minds and in our prayers. You have a strong woman there my friend, I know you are there for each other and that will make all the difference.
  3. You aren't missing anything, there just isn't an option to move the sent items to a folder. The only way that you could do it would be to "forward" it to yourself and then move it from your inbox to another folder. I haven't tried that but it should work fine.
  4. Yes, you can completely remove the top bearing and also drop the front enough to get to the lower bearing and repack it in place without unhooking any wires.
  5. Did I just read that correctly. You used the words Beer30 and "behave himself" in the same sentence? Were you able to type that with a straight face?
  6. LOL.....you troublemaker.
  7. We could do that or a valve check...which I just happen to need on my bike.
  8. I remove the outer fairing, unbolt the inner fairing and let it hang with a rope from an eye-bolt in the garage ceiling. You can pull it forward and let it hang and have room to do the job. You can also drop the forks low enough to inspect and grease the lower bearing. Works fine.
  9. Do any of you get into the fantasy bidding on the Barrett Auto Auctions? I have never done it before but did for a while yesterday. It is actually kind of fun. If you are the closest and faster bidder on one of the selected cars, you can win a 32 gig Ipod. If you are the highest total points of the day, you win a 32 inch LCD TV and if you are the highest points winner for the entire 4 day auction, you win a full entertainment center. I would never have the time to sit, watch and bid on close to 40 hours worth of the auctions but it was fun doing it for a few hours yesterday. I didn't win anything but was close enough on the 4 that I did bid on that I earned a good many points. Had I played all day and did as well as I did on those four, I would have been near the top in the daily standings. Kind of fun but time consuming. I love watching what those cars bring though and realizing that I would have been sitting on a gold mine had I hung onto my two '69 Camaros, my 74 Dodge Challenger, my 454 Chevelle SS, my 1970 Buick GSX 455, my '71 Chevy Super Cheyenne short/wide bed truck with factory tach dash and etc. and several other cars from the past. Also Eileen once had a '68 Mustang convertible...that would do very well also.
  10. This is why I don't buy ANY of that junk on the late night TV commercials. I do have an expensive pasta maker that my wife bought about 10 years ago though. It actually does work pretty well but we've used it ONE time in those 10 years.
  11. No, but I'll try to get that done this week.
  12. I don't know. It DOES have the MM seat. I'm thinking that it has been painted but that they used the stock description for it.
  13. LOL...you gotta love that lustrous, two-tone, pearl white and ivory paint.
  14. OK...it's not mercury but the current substitute. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=&catId=&productId=p282857&leafCatId=&mmyId=
  15. Dennis Kirk used to sell it. Might want to check their website.
  16. Yes, Rick has most of what anybody would need for these bikes and VentureRiders get a discount from him also.
  17. Here's the bracket: http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/312/cat/7 and a wiring harness http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/2541/cat/7/date/1161840513
  18. For my '99 RSV, I pay $95.00 a year. I only carry liability on it.
  19. I have the Corbin with the built in backrest. If it ever said "solo" only, I never saw it. I do have my trunk moved back the 1". My wife isn't very big but still likes the extra room.
  20. WOW....sounds like some of MY weeks lately. Hope things turn out for the best.
  21. Sorry...I've never used it. I'm surprised that somebody here hasn't though.
  22. Yep..this one is called Snow White Pearl and I agree about the RSV. If it had been available in white when I bought mine in '99, that is what I would be riding.
  23. I've actually already added it to the "Links" page.
  24. Yes, but I don't think that he has a website any longer. Somebody posted this info yesterday. Mark's Performance Products. 18011 Westlawn St., Hesperia, CA, 92345 phone no. 760-948-1346 email @ markpipe@net0.net
  25. I understand about the dealers. I won't buy from an aggressive dealership. I searched online before we went to look. The first one we stopped at advertised on their site that they had 40 2011 Sorentos in stock. We got there to find that they actually had maybe 15. The first thing I noticed was that on every car, they had added a price sticker that added $1795.00 for an ignition cut out theft device. I hate dealerships that add anything to the sticker and then claim that it's already installed so you have to take it. I told the salesman that IF they had what we wanted, I would absolutely NOT pay for any such dealer added options. He said that he would talk to his manager but thought that they were already installed and we had to take it. They didn't have the exact vehicle that we wanted anyway so much to his displeasure, we left. I then simply drove through a second dealers lot and saw that they didn't have the vehicle that we wanted either. The last stop was the dealership that was actually closest to my home. No ripoff dealer options added. It is also the dealership that I used for service on my '04 Sorento and even though I bought it used and not from them, they always treated me very well. They had a nice selection but again, not exactly what we wanted. They did a vehicle locate and did a dealer trade for the exact model, exterior and interior color and options that we wanted and went the next day and picked it up. It was a very easy negotiation. The salesman had our '04 appraised for trade value and came back with their first offer. It was actually better than I expected. I sold cars for a few years so had a very good idea where we would be. I looked it over and told him that we were close but not quiet where we should be. I made him an offer that was $1,000.00 less than they started with. I told the salesman that I wasn't going to play any games. I said that is what I will pay. If you can't do it, then that's fine. We'll shake hands and maybe can do better next time but there would be no back and forth and this was it. He came back in about 3 minutes and told me that we had a deal. That was it. I feel that I got a good deal and they should have been OK also. It was a very pleasant experience.
