I'm really happy for you Bob. You are a good man and deserve some good news. Good jobs are not easy to come by right now, I'm glad they recognized talent when they saw it.

There are several companies offering pay as you go plans without a contract. I've never used any of them but know people who do. They are available at Walmart, Best Buy, etc.

Stripping a 99 venture royale
Freebird replied to RedRaptor22's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I'm not saying that it couldn't be done because folks can do some pretty amazing things when they put their mind to it. There would be a lot of things to consider though. Yes, the airboxes can be removed and replaced with pods. I've seen that done on these bikes before. I don't have any pictures of it but somebody may have. There is a LOT of wiring inside that fairing and in those lowers however. Wiring, cruise control components, much more. I think it will take a lot of work to make it look decent. -
They have been around for a long time. I think that it used to be considered pretty much the premier windshield for the first gen bikes. They used to have a bend on each side and I've heard some complain about viewing distortion in the area of the bends. Otherwise, I think that they make a quality product.

checking oil
Freebird replied to blueline's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I also suspect that there would be no way for Yamaha to lower the sight glass enough that it would enable the oil to be seen while on the side stand. -
I think that Eddie had pictures uploaded long ago but never did it again after the site crash a few years ago. I did a search but didn't find any pictures of "The Shiny One".

OK folks. The design, color, etc. is pretty much finalized. The poll has been simplified. Please take the time to vote as it is important that I get a good estimate on the number of shirts that will be ordered. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45433

It really does depend upon where you copied and pasted it from. For example...if you copy and paste it from your email then it won't be seen by anybody but you as nobody else can access your email. There are many examples of where copy and paste just don't work. You are simply linking to the location of the picture, not actually transferring the picture to here.

Yes, I have the Equus gauges and the color is very close to the light color of the factory dash. I really like them.

Well...we've seen pics of the bike. What I want to see pics of now is those knots on your head. Seriously, I'm really sorry that it happened. I know it must have heartbreaking. Sounds like you can make it like new again pretty easily though.

I would like to remind folks that there is the option of ignoring a thread entirely. All you have to do is click on "thread tools" at the top of the first post and select "Ignore Thread". I'm mostly seen some light hearted humor here. Some believe that man is causing global warming, some believe it's a natural cycle. A quick Internet search will yield TONS of very intelligent and distinguished scientists making well informed arguments on both sides of the issue. We are NOT going to resolve it here. Please, just take the light hearted jokes for what they are. Otherwise, just ignore the thread.

Very good question Yama Mama. I have no tats and probably never will. I've thought about it but have never followed through for the simple fact that I have no idea what I would want it to be. If I came up with something really special, I would do it.

Well...it is pretty well written and I would be proud to take credit for it but unfortunately, I can't. I did create and write the original Wikipedia article but it was later updated and eventually completely re-written by another member here. He did a very good job.
