  3. OK...I'm probably the only one here who didn't know this but I'm willing to reveal my ignorance on the subject if it helps anybody else., Last night, we were watching TV in bed when my wife went downstairs and brought bad a bowl of grapes. In a few minutes, we notice our 13 year old Sheltie grab and swallow about 4 of them. I didn't think it was a big deal but my wife Googled it and found out that a single grape can be fatal to dogs. They don't know why and some dogs are more sensitive to them than others but the rule of thumb is that more than 1 grape per 10 lbs of body weight is considered toxic and cause immediate kidney failure in many cases. We called and were told to immediately take her to the MedVet emergency center. We did sol. They induced vomiting and gave her a IV. We were there for about 6 yours, got home after midnight last night and $482.00 poorer. They managed to recover about 1 1/2 grapes as near as they could determine. She is home now but it will be 48 - 72 hours before we know. If Kidney toxicity occurs, she will likely not survive. I knew that chocolate and some other things were toxic to dogs but had no idea about grapes. We are usually very careful as to what we feed her and she never even gets table scraps.

  17. That's an. interesting website. I'll dive deeper into it later. I watched two YouTube videos on the new CT125. One was a trip across Colorado and the other Alaska. They were both very complimentary of the new bike but both mentioned that then had to dog paddle up a couple of off road hills to make it up. That was never thee case with the originals that had the high low transmissions and it turned me off on them a bit.

  20. I csme very close to pulling the trigger on a pair of these a couple of days ago. They are in short supply right now. I guess the same BS supply chain issues and etc. Most dealers are telling me that they should have some in 90 days or so. After much searching, I found a couple of them in Pittsburg but two different dealers. A couple of things changed my mind. Though I hope that Eileen gets control of her back pain, she hasn't had any success yet. I thought it would be fun to cruise around the back roads and explore some trails if we could find any but just don't know if she'll be able to. Another thing is the lack of the low/high transmission. In my opinion, that was a major plus for the old models. At just under 9 HP, that Low range is pretty much essential if you get off road and find some steep inclines and etc. The engine just doesn't have the torque to do it in high range. For what I'm looking to do with them, I think finding a couple of nice older models would be the way to go. If I do anything at all.
  21. To be honest, I have no use for an electric touring bike. It may or may end up NOT being the future but it’s certainly not MY future. For me, the sound of the engine and many other things are part of the riding experience. An E-Bike for cruises in the local parts and etc. might be fun but not as a replacement for a motorcycle.
