  1. Well, a bit more detail. I hardly ever have the ROP up. Now this happened on my Mahindra compact tractor. It has a belly mower but I seldom use it for mowing. I have a zero turn that I mow with. I use the Mahindra primarily as a fork lift when I get a shipment of stairlifts. It has a front end loader and I have removed the bucket and install a set of forks in place of it. My driveway is about 450 ft. and the semis that deliver them park out on the road and I use the Mahindra to take the pallets off the trailers and to my building. I actually need a larger tractor as the pallets are often loaded a bit heavy for my current tractor. So, I had ordered 6 stairlifts but there was a screwup and they shipped me 12 units. That's OK because I can use them but some of the pallets were loaded heavier than usual. I have a 3-point sprayer on the back of the tractor and had it full of water to provide some ballast. I was still a bit nervous though so decided to put the ROP up while taking the pallets off the semi. I seldom put it up so when I got to the building, I just attempted to drive right on in like I always do. BAM!!!! Down came the door. It's all good now. Not a lot of damage to the door, just a couple of pretty good dents and they came out fairly well. Took the door apart yesterday and got it re-hung. Now just to be careful not do do it again.
  2. Haven't looked into it. Does your bike have the heated grips? I won't change because I don't want to give up the heat. I don't think they ever made any for the Royal Star Venture either, it was just a matter of measuring them and then matching them up to one of their models.
  3. I used the Yamaha filter this time but will certainly use the K&N next time. Would make it so much easier. I used a pair of Channel-Lok slip joint pliers to get it off. Was still hard to get the right angle with the lines in the way.
  4. Yes. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?17406-VentureRider-Guardian-Bells
  5. Some of you may know this already. If you forget to put the roll bar down on your tractor before entering your shop/building, you may find the overhead garage door crashing down on your head. Just something that is useful to know.
  6. Looks good. Great job.
  7. I honestly didn't notice that there was a difference. Just took them out and let them run. Sorry.
  8. I'll probably wipe it off.
  9. I've added a couple of them. Not sure what years but it really doesn't matter. They were all basically the same from 1999 on.
  10. I think the first one may be for the 1999 and the second probably the 2002. Really doesn't matter. They should be about all the same from 1999 - 2013. http://www.venturerider.org/manuals/RSVOwnersmanual.pdf http://www.venturerider.org/manuals/2000rsvowners.pdf

  11. About the only place to buy non-ethanol around here is at the marinas. None of those pumps are accessible except by boat or walking with a can from the parking lot. Not worth the effort. I did find one listed in Norwalk, OH but haven't checked it and probably won't. It's about a 30 minute drive and to me, not worth it to drive that far for gas.
  12. Did my first oil change on the SVTC today. Easy enough. A bit more work than the RSV and a bit less work than the Harley Road Glide. Not a big job though. Odometer has 601 miles so I was pretty dang close to their 600 mile spec. My old Craftsman lift worked fine, no adapter required. Note though that I didn't actually lift the bike, just used the lift to level it.
  13. I'm willing to do that Mr. Puc. So long as you do all he design work, fabrication, advertising, and sales. I just want half the profits.
  14. I had mine off for the purpose of installing a trailer hitch. I just looked and found that I didn't take a picture that would help you much. Here is what I have though.
  15. That is really disappointing I'm sure. Sorry you are having those issues. Hope they get it worked out soon. First I've heard of any oil leaking on these bikes but anything can happen with any model/brand I suppose. I've heard a handful of complaints about the GPS but most are related to the limited number of waypoints that can be loaded in a trip.
  16. Somebody else will have to answer that one. It's been many years since I've used anything other than iPhone. My iPhone's bluetooth connects easily to my SVTC, my Toyota Crewmax, my Dodge Caravan and my wife's Camaro. No issues at all.
  17. On my TC, I normally use Bluetooth to stream music from Pandora or IHeart. Sometimes I use the USB connection and stream right from my iPhone storage. That also works with Bluetooth though.
  18. I have no idea what the issue is but I have a Carbon One lift adapter with legs and have used it on many bikes. My own and many others at Maintenance Day. Never had a problem with the spring getting in the way.
  19. In the USA, it really depends upon the state you are in. I know that they are not required in Ohio but they aren't required for motorcycles either. A helmet is required on a Slingshot in NY.
  20. HEY....she got a convertible Camaro. She's happy.
  21. I honestly can't answer any of your questions. Haven't been on a ride with my wife since installing it. I doubt that it provides any additional room. I tried to find the pdf file of my order but apparently deleted it so can't tell you the exact colors I ordered. I called Corbin and told them to make it exactly like the one that they made for Bucfan who as the first to order one as far as I know. You can call them and have them look up my order to get all the details. My wife has only sat on the bike since it was installed and said that it felt great. Sorry, I know that's not much to go on.
  22. Regardless of what the manual states, I will certainly use it if I ever get into one of those situations where I mess up and part on a downward slope. Most of us learned years ago to avoid those situations though. I assume, like me, that most of you have learned to back into those type of parking spots.
  23. Still don't have enough miles on mine to give a definitive answer but from the day I bought it and rode it home from Buffalo, NY, I have gotten 40 MPG or better. Of course that it riding it gently as I've still not put enough miles on it to get out of the break in period.
  24. One feature that I had never had on a motorcycle was the reverse. I always thought it would come in handy at times. Though we learn to avoid it, most of us have pulled straight into a parking spot at one time or another that was on a downward slope and made it difficult to back out. So I was somewhat excited to buy a bike with reverse. Though I still haven't put many miles on my SVTC, I think I have only used the reverse one time and that was just to try it out. I just find it much faster to push the bike back like I always have. Also, the manual states that the reverse/parking assist is only designed to be used on level ground which totally defeats the scenario that I outlined above. So do you use the reverse? If so, do you use it on a slope to get out of a downward parking spot as I outlined above?
  25. Service manuals are available in the Tech Libraries. Don'r know if I have the owners manual or not, I'll have two look and if I have it, will upload it tomorrow.
