  1. I just read this to Linda and her first comment was "ouch, 10 pounds, 5 ounces?":whistling: RandyA
  2. Well, if you got major leaks on your bike or brain, winter projects would be the best time to fix it. Hopefully, by spring, you will be good to go for many more miles. RandyA
  3. Why would you turn your fuel off, unless you were changing the fuel filter or working on pump? RandyA
  4. From your discription, it sounds like you have plug caps on the YICS ports. Your problems also sounds like one of the plug caps is busted. This would explain the vacuum/sync problems and poor running and fuel milage. This is the way I plugged my YICS ports and don't have th worry about them anymore. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?86100-Plugging-YICS-ports&highlight=YICS+ports RandyA
  5. Are you absolutely sure it is full of antifreeze? It sounds like you are low on coolant. RandyA
  6. Another thing I did was to get it the way I wanted and then went to my favorites and saved it. I then deleted an older setting of VR I had in favorites and it is now working great. I don't know if that helped me in doing this, but it seemed to. RandyA
  7. I have been very frustrated with my laptop and yesterday morning about 2:30 am I decided to wipe it clean. I did save my documents and pictures to a thumb drive after saving all my favorites and restored it back to factory settings. Now it is fast again and when I went on VR, the change I tried to make earlier was saved and now I have the font, size and color control I had before. Thanks everyone. RandyA
  8. Took a beautiful ride yesterday with temps around 68 degrees and sunny. We still have some beautiful color on a few trees. I ran the tank down pretty empty and stopped by the Farmers Coop and filled up with ethanol free gas. Being from the mid south, I usually some during each month, but last year it was pretty cold. RandyA
  9. Trying something else and it worked. RandyA
  10. OK, I did what Dingy said and we will see what happens now. RandyA Well, the only thing that worked was the 1st one I clicked on, which was font. OK, I checked the settings and it did not save the change, even though I got the box thanking me for updating. I tried several times and it would not save the change and went back to Standard Settings.
  11. OK, where is editor controls? RandyA
  12. Ok, we will see how this works. I have never tried doing all the options before I started typing. If you figure how to set a default, please let me know. Thanks Jeff. RandyA Edit, well, it didn't work.
  13. I posted earlier about loosing the ability to highlite my post and then click on font, then size and then color after the site change. Now, this feature does not work the way it did. I got 75 views on the post and the only responses were me adding what I was finding. Am I the only one that has had this issue? I do notice a lot less color and font changes than before. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?89479-Lost-size-of-letters-and-color RandyA
  14. Yep, Seafoam is not a good idea, but how about JB Weld? It really is amazing what can be diagnosed and what can be fixed today. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers and I feel that you will get this behind you and you will get this fixed. Randy & Linda
  15. Plus, I get a 10% discount with my VA card. RandyA
  16. Yep, that's how we do it here. About the only advantage living in the city limits. I have a surprisingly strong electric leaf blower I use to pile most of them up and I have a large gas powered with about an 8 HP motor on it that I pull around behind my lawn mower that really moves a lot of leaves. RandyA
  17. I like having a lot of trees around my house, but this time of year becomes a lot of work. I have already hauled about 15 loads of leaves on a tough vinyl sheet that is about 8 by 18 that I load as high as my lawn tractor. This about what one load looks like. RandyA
  18. That is when I pick up my cell phone and dial 911. I have done it before and watched the guy get pulled over. I may have saved someone's life. RandyA
  19. Thanks Kevin. I am planning to do a serious brake upgrade this winter and folk rebuild going to MKII forks. I plan on doing the SS lines and caliper upgrades. I am still a little on the fence about delinking the brakes, but I probably will. RandyA
  20. This is another reason I don't have a heel/toe shifter. They are known to cause the same breakage you encountered. RandyA
  21. Now that I have a Time Out camper, I am trying to figure out what to do with my old Travel Lite camper I have used for years. Other than the canvas being pretty old on the walls, it is actually very useable. It has a popup table or you can lay everything down and have a full size mattress and it is quiet comfortable. I am considering taking the tub off and putting a car top carrier that I have on the frame and just using it when I want to carry something small. It is already wired for LED lights, so I would have to make brackets to remount the lights if I convert it to a trailer. Well, just rambling some thoughts. RandyA
  22. If you read the comments, here does appear to be some type covering available to go over it, even though he does not show it. RandyA
  23. Does the MKII's have the 16mm master for the front, or do I have to find one off something else? RandyA
  24. You could buy the 83 for $20 and get the seals to rebuild it and be good to go. The one on my bike came off an 86 engine I picked up many years ago and has never leaked and probably has 140,000 miles on it. You just never know, but if I was going to put seals in one, I would want one with the metal impeller. RandyA
  25. You can buy automotive copper core wire at most parts stores and make your own, Randy
