  1. I had my second one a while back and they went in from both ends. So far I have had two and not a single poplop has been found. The told me I was the perfect a$$hole. RandyA
  2. You did not lay it down where it leaks through the vent tube did you? RandyA
  3. You did refill the reservoir didn't you? RandyA
  4. We had a retired State Trooper get killed last week from a head on crash where a 20 year old girl crossed the center line in a Honda and hit a pick up just left of center head on. The trooper's son was driving and he and the girl in the Honda were hurt. There is strong suspicion she was texting, but it has not been released yet. Texting and driving in TN is against the law. RandyA
  5. Yeah, I don't think that is going to buff out. RandyA
  6. I think about $15 a year and we don't have a yearly tax or a state income tax, and we got some of the greatest riding roads in the country. Love Tennessee. RandyA
  7. I sure hope so and you can bring your new bride.:cool10: RandyA
  8. Man, you did do a number on a real nice bike. You are lucky to be alive. RandyA
  9. And, as the world famous Forrest Gump put so eloquently, "That's all I've got to say about that". From one of the black sheep of the FAMILY. RandyA
  10. Well, you know you need to be there to keep the troops entertained. Also, I might want another shot at Brown Sugar. That may make me want to do a little tune up before I get down there. RandyA
  11. I was on this site for several years before Don had to make the decision to start having a membership fee and I know he agonized over it. It had always been his intent to keep this a free site, but it became something he had to do. So, what he did was to initiate a very low membership due that is lower than any that I know of that are not loaded with advertisements. As has already been noted several times, this is a family and we might fuss a little at times, but there is a tremendous respect shown between these family members, especially when they disagree on something. I do occasionally look at other sites, such as for my Maxima and to tell you the truth, it is not worth reading through all the crap and snide remarks to get any useful information. People that come on here with that attitude either change real quick, or don't last long. I feel very blessed that I found this site and at that time I was a member of another similar site that I was not happy with, which, by the way, had a lot higher membership dues than this one years ago. As has been said, welcome to the group if you chose to join. If you feel you are being scammed, then I suggest you go on about your business. And, if you do pay your dues and don't like it, I am sure you will get your money back. RandyA
  12. Well, he must have joined. Welcome aboard. RandyA
  13. Sounds like fun to me.:cool10: RandyA
  14. I am hoping to, but at this moment, everything is up in the air. I am planning on being there, just not sure under what conditions. RandyA
  15. I had a problem several years ago with the metal part of the line getting clogged up. This made my clutch hard to pull in and did not release good. I cleaned it out and it has worked fine since. RandyA
  16. I think you are right. Normally it increases idle when the choke is engaged, but I have no idea what his is doing. I want to help him, but I don't know where to start. RandyA
  17. Did you look in the trunk of your car? To me $55 is kind of high for mounting and balancing two tires. For that, I would have done it myself. RandyA
  18. OK, now I am really confused. RandyA
  19. Only use the one resister. Take out the old one you have in line. Check your connections on the one under the side panel and up on the handle bar. RandyA
  20. We understand, going to a 2nd gen is all about slowing down. I know Brown Sugar kept you interested. Maybe you can loop down this way and come to Asheville in August. RandyA
  21. hey Skid, hope you have a memorable birthday. RandyA
  22. You two are a great couple and an inspiriation. I wish you many more and just hope Lonna can continue to put up with you. RandyA
  23. I would like to make some suggestions, but the way you are describing things seem to be somewhat backwards. You say it will barely idle then you say you can not get the plates to close, or if you try to close them, the idle will go up. My first suggestion would be to try to find vacuum leaks. You can do this by spraying some starter fluid around the base of the carbs. You will need to fix the vacuum leaks before you can sync the carbs. I am curious if you are even adjusting on the idle adjustment, It is the star shaped knob under the carbs on the left side of the bike. RandyA
  24. I have had one for years and would be uncomfortable riding without it. One problem you may encounter is it may creep some, according to what type grips you have. I ended up using some of the old cloth electrical tape that is sticky on both sides and wrapping it around the grip under the rocker. RandyA
  25. While you are there, ask them if they will work with us on a discount. RandyA
