  1. And, you have to remove the mufflers also. RandyA
  2. Wow, looks great. Now, are you going to join this crazy group? RandyA
  3. Why do you need to take this much apart to get to the collector? You should only have to take the front pipes off and loosen the clamps on the back pipes and then take the two bolts holding the collector on and then wiggle it off. RandyA
  4. Hey Mack, removing the fairings is really easier than most people think. With the headlight and windshield trim off. you will need to remove the bottom cover under the headlight, four screws, the turn signals lights and the mirrors, two screws and the side pieces that connect near the radiator. At this point, it is just a matter of going around the fairing and removing the screws holding it on. Just remember, do not force anything and make sure you are holding it good when you take off the last screw so it does not fall off. You said you removed the tops off the uppers, so I assume you removed the panel that holds the speakers in place. If not, you will need to do that and be careful, they can be brittle. Make sure you support the weight of the speakers. You can also unhook the speakers through the hole where the signal lights were. RandyA
  5. Wow, a one cylinder thumper. RandyA
  6. A couple of years ago I had a walnut fall out of a tree and hit my windshield just about eye level. I was running about 40 mph and it scared the crap out of me. I thought someone was throwing something at me. RandyA
  7. It also may need to be lubricated. Any drag at all will cause the tach to be off. What happens when you shut it down, does it instantly drop to zero? RandyA
  8. I filled up at the local Wallmart with their 10 cents off gift card for $2.99.9, so I am already under $3.00. RandyA
  9. Sure did sound like a good time to maybe..........negotiate some other things while she was trying to talk you into this. You may have been able to get her to wash your bike also. RandyA
  10. I am not on Facebook. RandyA
  11. It would not let me load it. RandyA
  12. It is supposed to be in the mid to upper 70's and sunny for Tuesday thru Thursday here in east Tennessee. RandyA
  13. I just wish you were closer. But it is a long way from TN to UT. I can not believe there aren't some MKI 1st genners interested in the transmission. RandyA
  14. Wow, what a really neat video. The four star General can still bang on the drums. It really makes me wonder how many people throughout his military career had any idea he could play the drums or that he was a member of the Venture's band. You brought a big smile to my face and yes, I did have Venture albums at one time. RandyA
  15. Hey Gene, how about giving us some inside pictures. Does it have some of those slide outs? Are you officially retired yet? Do you still need to tow the Beercart? RandyA
  16. Well, I tried. I thought it might be interesting for some to tell us what they were doing a little over four years ago in June at the beginning of summer. RandyA
  17. Well, it is going to be cool today, but the middle of the week is supposed to be about 76 and sunny. I guess being retired does have its advantages. RandyA
  18. Linda and I took a ride through that area last year and stayed in Franklin. We stayed at the Franklin Motel, one of those mom & pop type motels and parked in front of our door. It was very clean and the service was very good. We also ate at the Sunset Restaurant and it was very good. I would like to do that again as that is a nice place to use as a base. RandyA
  19. Well, there is reading and then there is reading comprehension. RandyA
  20. Let me see, that was on a Thursday and the temperature had a high of 81 degrees and a low of 48 degrees. I was still married and it was two years before my divorce. I had pretty good vision then as it was before my cataract surgery and later going blind in my right eye. I was still working with no thoughts of retiring. It was about a week before my bike was knocked over by a truck backing into it and it ultimately being totaled and me getting a check for $3,162.24 from State Farm and I kept the bike. At the time I had about 115,000 miles on the bike and now I have over 157,000. Now, how would I know all this? I can check the weather locally for any day since 1948 by going to this website: http://weatherspark.com/#!dashboard;a=USA/37604/TN/Johnson_City . This is a great weather site and you can put your zip code in and save it and you can check your weather. Also, ever since I have had my bike for almost 17 years, I have kept a fairly good journal on about everything I do or significant events. Now, we know what Squidly was doing on June 19, 2008, do you remember what you were doing? RandyA
  21. I hope I will be able to be there. Mark was a really good guy. Thanks for posting this Rooster. RandyA
  22. Another thing it is doing is a box is coming up that says; "Catalyst Control Centre: Host application has stopped working". What is this telling me? RandyA
  23. Another thing I want to add is I cannot get into the restore mode. Setting both mine and her computer side by side and trying to go into the recovery/restore mode, mine will bring up earlier dates and past restore points. When I try to do the same thing on her's it will not do anything when I click on it, no matter how much time I give it. I even tried this when bringing up the computer in safe mode. RandyA
  24. OK, I have tried everything noted here and still no go. On the last entry that wes made, I did go into the proxy and turned it off and the only difference was it went from about two seconds in telling me that "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" to about ten seconds in telling me. It is also telling me that I am already connected to the internet and I am using the Google default. I also took her computer to my house and it is doing the same thing. I am now back at her house and my laptop is working fine on her internet. I do appreciate all the suggestions and it is so frustrating in me being so computer challenged. RandyA
  25. Yes, this is correct. Even if I use the ethernet cable, it will not go on the internet. I have not been able to get back to check it out as she has been working. RandyA
