  1. I just wish you were closer. But it is a long way from TN to UT. I can not believe there aren't some MKI 1st genners interested in the transmission. RandyA
  2. Wow, what a really neat video. The four star General can still bang on the drums. It really makes me wonder how many people throughout his military career had any idea he could play the drums or that he was a member of the Venture's band. You brought a big smile to my face and yes, I did have Venture albums at one time. RandyA
  3. Hey Gene, how about giving us some inside pictures. Does it have some of those slide outs? Are you officially retired yet? Do you still need to tow the Beercart? RandyA
  4. Well, I tried. I thought it might be interesting for some to tell us what they were doing a little over four years ago in June at the beginning of summer. RandyA
  5. Well, it is going to be cool today, but the middle of the week is supposed to be about 76 and sunny. I guess being retired does have its advantages. RandyA
  6. Linda and I took a ride through that area last year and stayed in Franklin. We stayed at the Franklin Motel, one of those mom & pop type motels and parked in front of our door. It was very clean and the service was very good. We also ate at the Sunset Restaurant and it was very good. I would like to do that again as that is a nice place to use as a base. RandyA
  7. Well, there is reading and then there is reading comprehension. RandyA
  8. Let me see, that was on a Thursday and the temperature had a high of 81 degrees and a low of 48 degrees. I was still married and it was two years before my divorce. I had pretty good vision then as it was before my cataract surgery and later going blind in my right eye. I was still working with no thoughts of retiring. It was about a week before my bike was knocked over by a truck backing into it and it ultimately being totaled and me getting a check for $3,162.24 from State Farm and I kept the bike. At the time I had about 115,000 miles on the bike and now I have over 157,000. Now, how would I know all this? I can check the weather locally for any day since 1948 by going to this website: http://weatherspark.com/#!dashboard;a=USA/37604/TN/Johnson_City . This is a great weather site and you can put your zip code in and save it and you can check your weather. Also, ever since I have had my bike for almost 17 years, I have kept a fairly good journal on about everything I do or significant events. Now, we know what Squidly was doing on June 19, 2008, do you remember what you were doing? RandyA
  9. I hope I will be able to be there. Mark was a really good guy. Thanks for posting this Rooster. RandyA
  10. Another thing it is doing is a box is coming up that says; "Catalyst Control Centre: Host application has stopped working". What is this telling me? RandyA
  11. Another thing I want to add is I cannot get into the restore mode. Setting both mine and her computer side by side and trying to go into the recovery/restore mode, mine will bring up earlier dates and past restore points. When I try to do the same thing on her's it will not do anything when I click on it, no matter how much time I give it. I even tried this when bringing up the computer in safe mode. RandyA
  12. OK, I have tried everything noted here and still no go. On the last entry that wes made, I did go into the proxy and turned it off and the only difference was it went from about two seconds in telling me that "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" to about ten seconds in telling me. It is also telling me that I am already connected to the internet and I am using the Google default. I also took her computer to my house and it is doing the same thing. I am now back at her house and my laptop is working fine on her internet. I do appreciate all the suggestions and it is so frustrating in me being so computer challenged. RandyA
  13. Yes, this is correct. Even if I use the ethernet cable, it will not go on the internet. I have not been able to get back to check it out as she has been working. RandyA
  14. From what I understand, this is fairly normal as you body is trying to get all that crap out of your lungs now that they are starting the cleaning process. Keep in mind that smoking in not a normal thing to do. You had to make yourself do it, as the first time for about everyone is an unpleasant experience. But, with the addictive nature of nicotine and for many, the desire to be "cool" was enough to get over the unpleasantness of starting to smoke. RandyA
  15. Bob, you ought to know by now that it is all about the ride, not the destination. RandyA
  16. You are supposed to be working Steve, not watching video's of V Max's. RandyA
  17. There are kits out there to convert our V-4 to chain drive. You can Google it. RandyA
  18. And another year bites the dust. Wow, ya better watch out or you are gonna to get old and I can tell you that the golden years ain't what they are cracked up to be. Have a good one buddy and I wish you many more. RandyA
  19. Yes, as I noted, her wireless works fine on my computer. Also, I did the unplug, wait for 20 seconds thing on the router and rebooted her computer and no change. I hope it is the switch. I will check it when I get to go see her. RandyA
  20. I tried that and it did not do anything. On my Compaq laptop, that button is always lit up white or orange and white is wireless. Her's does not have a light that I have seen. I will check on the "dip" switch when I can. RandyA
  21. Her's is a Toshiba also. When you use the troubleshoot option, it shows that there is a connection all the way to the computer. I will try all this when I can. RandyA
  22. Linda has lost the ability to get on the internet with her laptop. It was working fine using her wireless and she moved from one room to another and now it will not work. Her wireless still works fine for mine and it even shows a connection on hers, but it will not come up. Even setting beside the wireless router, it will not do anything. I have even reset it to work in the wired configuration, but it still will not come up. I have gone into the internet connection and set the homepage on yahoo and other pages and it still will not do anything. Any suggestions? RandyA
  23. Look exactly where you want to go!!! Normally this is thought of when you are going down the road at speed and realize you are cutting it close on making a curve. Don't look at the ditch or that is where you will go. Look where you want to go. This also works very good at slow speeds too. If you are making a sharp turn, even doing a u-turn in the road, look at the point on the road you want to track. You will be surprised how well your brain will work in adjusting speed, amount of lean and braking that you will need to do. Just stay focused on the path you want to go. RandyA
  24. The one thing you always have to keep in mind is there are some real crazy people out there. There are people right on the edge looking for a fight and would not think anything about blowing someone away, especially if they thought they could get away with it. Also, with some of the drugs on the street right now, such as meth and bath salts and other stuff, these people don't care who is right or wrong. They are already crazy and don't care who they attack. And, even if you carry, you may still not have much of an opportunity to evaluate the situation before everything goes wrong. As hard as it is for me to do it, I just try to tell myself that the best thing thing to do is to get away from them as sooner or later they will run into someone just like them and they will take care of it. RandyA
  25. I feel my bike has pretty much paid for itself since I purchased it for $2,100 dollars, almost 17 years ago and I have put about 135,000 miles on it. I have actually put very little money in it over the years and still ride it all the time. It sounds like you have done better than break even. RandyA
