Thanks for your support. I will be needing some help with replacement parts as soon as the insurance pays off. As for now the bike runs fine, except I have noticed the left turn signals blink faster than the right. ??? Any ideas?

Thanks Harry. I spoke to Jonsey about his right crash bar. Is he the same or do you know someone with the wraparound guards as well? I do have insurance, will probably need to buy the fairing new, the rest can be used.

Needless to say the trip was very eventful, good and Bad. The good was I rode the Blue Ridge Pkwy for about 80 miles into Roanoke. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Unfortunately, the next day I got about 25 miles north of Roanoke on I-81 only to get a 2" screw in my brand new E3 rear tire. The bike started to fishtail @ 60 mph, I was able to slow to about 20 mph as the fishtail got worse. As soon as I crossed the Rough Strip on the shoulder the bike laid down on the right side. Luckily, there was no guardrail, just grass. I was wearing Leather Chaps & Jacket, they took the force and the road rash. As well as my helmet getting several gashes. I walking away with bruised ribs and a couple scrapes. The bike was picked up by a great tow truck guy, who treated it like his own. We went back to Roanoke to a large Yamaha shop. They replaced the tire with a D404 and made the turn signals work again. 6 hours later I was back on the road. The weather was very windy so I stopped for the night in Harrisonburg. I made it into Penn Yan, Ny by 6pm Wednesday. I had a great visit with my Mom & Brother and headed into NJ on Sat to visit with HS freinds. I stopped on the way at OCC and checked out their bikes in the showroom. I headed to Charlotte on Sunday to stay with my Sister-in-law. I got stuck in a 45 minute backup for a car crash on I-85 in SC in front of the BMW factory. Made me realize how lucky I really was. Now I have to see what my insurance adjuster will do when they look at the bike. Of course I'm already looking for parts. The shop in Va said I should get a new rear wheel, but it rode fine for 1600 miles so far. The rest of the parts I should be able to replace myself. Pics are in my profile.

I just went down last week due to a screw in my rear tire. If I were not wearing a helmet, chaps and a leather jacket I would have been in the hospital. I got away with bruised ribs and a scrape on my knee as bad a s falling down playing with my kids. My helmet has several large scrapes in the side. I will be looking for a new one soon.

I've been running my Blues for almost a year, in the rain, am & pm, even with Police escorted rides. No problems yet, not to say it won't happen, but it keeps the cages alert! Harry, the bike looks even better than last I saw it. Great job!

Do you run 10W-30? As for the filter, I'm in for whatever works.
-
Are you replacing the whole rear or is it the add two wheels kit?
-
Thanks Mike, I will give them a try. I love good down home food.

Sounds like a plan Phil. I'll be in town 4/14 - 4/16. Maybe we can shoot for Thursday or Fri. Thanks
-
I just might give you a call for coffee 4/13 am. Thanks
-
I'll only be there Wed - Fri. Good luck on the Trike. Is it a Venture?

Thanks Rick & Tom, Yeah that's what I thought. I'm from NJ originally, but that lake effect weather you have is very different than what I remember. Last time I was up there I drove an SUV around Watkins Glen, that was a fun time. I wish they would let bikes on the course.

To turn off the CB, just hold down the CB button for a couple of seconds. There is a little yellow light just next to the button. If CB is on, light is on. If it is that, you should still be seeing the display change CB channels. Good Luck.

Thanks Squid, That sounds a lot more fun than just staying on 81.

Sure would help, but it puts me on the road a little early. Sunday with the family. Not sure yet about heading to Steve's. I'm about 1500mi shy of oil/Filter, but might go ahead and change them anyway. I think I'm gonna switch to Amsoil or Mobil 1 Syn. Any thoughts?
