I've had very good luck with eBay...heck, I bought my Venture on eBay, granted it was from a dealer but it was a steal nonetheless.

thanks for the pics!

As usual, couldn't quite put in to words to the folks at work what Saturday was like. Since you all understand I'll just say thanks again...looking forward to many more.

Thanks from here too! Just an all around great day yesterday. A link to some pics, just give it a minute to load and then start clicking: http://www.2amstudio.com/stjude/index.html

Could be that your email provider is down right now or if you have changed the password for your account recently the mail host is looking for the new password.

I've had that happen on my 08 and it did take a hard bump for it to start flashing. Just turned it off and back on and all was well. Can't say it has become more of a problem yet.

I'm not sure how "surrounding" Nashville is to Knoxville but I made it over there a few times this past summer when we had some longer daylight hours. I'll give you a shout the next time I head over.

Aside from the wealth of technical information I can get from this group there is the shared experience of just riding, primarily the Venture here. I just can't adequately explain the feeling and experience of riding to someone who hasn't ridden. At work on a Monday after a great ride over the weekend I sometimes find myself grasping for words to describe what took place...I always come up short. You know the look and respones..."ah, well, that sounds nice." It is nice, it is better than nice but it has to be experienced to really understand it. Everyone here would know what I'm talking about with little effort on my part...thanks.

I went through boot "camp" back in the Spring trying to find some good boots. Tried a couple of different Red Wings but for some reason they didn't fit my feet just right. Ended up with Durango DB510's and I love them. Whatever you decide I'd recommend checking out http://www.zappos.com Great online retailer and had no problems trying on and returning about 3 different types of boots. Pretty good selection too.

Hey Bigfoot, I'd make a journey back to the Commonwealth for that!

RSV Seat Questions or Maybe Pants?
ebat replied to ebat's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Nice link, thanks. Others had mentioned the sheepskin and this looks like an affordable solution as opposed to replacing the seat. I was a little worried about how it might look on the bike but those don't appear to be too bad. They even sell butt powder, flb!- 27 replies

RSV Seat Questions or Maybe Pants?
ebat replied to ebat's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Some good suggestions here. I'm gonna try the Athletic Works shorts and also look at some bicycle shorts...maybe toss some baby powder in the trunk! A new seat is a consideration too but I don't think I can spring for a seat and a back rest. Thanks again.- 27 replies

Well first one there gets the prize, Mariner Fan. I'll let you know if I find something that works. I had a backrest on my 1st Gen Venture and really liked it so it is just a matter of time before I try one on the 2nd Gen.- 27 replies

Thanks for replying, Bob. I've pretty much put the back rest on my wish list for next year. Is that thing pretty sturdy? Do you feel like you can really lean back in to it or do you feel like it is just there to make a little contact with your back?- 27 replies
