  1. Well, it is a "Royal" Star after all, what else would you expect him to like..... Brian
  2. Here is the right one , it was spelled wrong. http://www.whitegauges.net/ Brian
  3. I could be in but, It depends on pricing, and what is involved for the install. but it looks like it could be a cool idea to brighten up the old cluster. Ronnie, i dont think this will fix your speedo, as i think these are paper overlays over the backing on your intruments in the pod, Not a replacement for any parts. brian PS do they make it so the kms are on the top? not the miles for us Canadian types?
  4. Its hard to beleive there can still be that much snow up there, Thanks for the pics, I cant wait until next month when we get to go!! Brian
  5. I have found some trailers of Dust UP on You tube that everyone should be able to open and view. They arent the whole episode but at least you get a bit of the video and the feeling for Dust Up. I guess they are talking about taking it international next year, that may be why the episodes arent available outside of Canada. There are 8 trailers available on you tube if you look on the right side. 6. I am sorry to hear that youre banged up and sore, but happy to hear that youre going ot be ok. The bike can be fixed or replaced, you cant......so take your time and heal properly and listen to your docs and your woman.....lol! Brian
  7. Ive always been fascinated by these flyers that can fly 5 feet off the ground spraying crops. These guys fly under power lines and in nasty weather and take their lives in their hands. There is a new series that was shot here in Saskatchewan about the cropdusters called Dust UP and I find it pretty interesting. I thought some of you guys might like to see it too, the episodes of Dust UP are here on the History Channels Website. I hope they dont have the website blocked to people outside Canada, it seems to be happening more and more with webcasts. http://www.history.ca/video/default.aspx Enjoy!!!
  8. It sounds like youre not revving it enough in the other gears. I would suggest you get a tach, and then remember that your power band on these machines is above 3500. You should probably never be outta 2nd gear around town if you want to accelerate at all. Let it "bump" up against the rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd gear and it will shock you how fast these machines are compared to to the vtwins. BTW 75mph isnt even the high end of 4th gear -both 4th and 5th on your bike are overdrives so you are capable of speed way in excess of 110mph but its whether you want to go there is another question..... Brian
  9. Thanks for all you do for everyone, Lewis. Youre one of the good ones. We do seem to have way more than our share of great, caring and sharing people on this forum, and its people like Lewis that help set the tone for the whole VRO forum.
  10. it looks to me like you have got everyone stumped on this, Hopefully someone will come up with something to help you out. Brian
  11. Mine started rattling a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would try the easy fix first and it worked!!! And now that I think about it, it did kinda sound like metallic crickets!! I laid the bike gently over on the left side, (just in case the right crash bar flexed into the water pump pipe breaking it) and then took a large wooden mallet and gave it a few good whacks on the bottom of the exhaust collector. What a difference! It fixed up the rattle instantly. I dont know if its a long term fix, but at least its not annoying me for now, and the other fix can be something that can be done over winter, if I want. Brian
  12. what the heck are Centramatics? Brian
  13. I think I remember reading that the newer Road King mufflers have catalytic converters in them. I dont know how that would affect your performance and/or sound, but I would think it would make the engine seem a bit sluggish. Brian
  14. Make sure you make the most of the time you have left with her and reminisce the good times and fun times with her. My thoughts are with you and you mom. Brian
