  1. go to venturer.org and look up Nacho Altes, he lives in Spain. he has been a leading member of venturers for a long time, and helped with the design of this device. Also there was another post dealing with this some time ago. here is the link go to post 30 and look there. Heart of Dixie, a member here, bought one and posted that he loved it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63049&highlight=venturemp3
  2. i dont think there are too many units that interface with the handlebar unit on the Venture allowing complete control while its hidden in your side bag so you dont have to hide it everytime you park. The battery also charges as you drive, unlike most plugin units. The VentureMp3 seems to have made this a seamless install that will run like a factory unit from what I see in the ad. Brian
  3. that really blows, Annie. I feel for ya!! I hope they at least put it on a fast ship for you. Brian
  4. here is another great summer pic of the Aurora Borealis taken in Southern Alberta. it opens up a link to the biggest farm publication in Canada , the Western Producer, and its on the Front Page http://devdigital.producer.com/xta-asp/pageview2.asp?pc=wp&tpl=base_v2&mv=2011%2F10%2F06&edname=October+2011&w&h&redir=yes&sp brian
  5. Yep its illegal anywhere in Canada, i think. But that doesnt stop 3 or 4 jerks a year from blowing past me in my lane. It just infuriates me that they think so little of my safety. brian
  6. Here is another pic from a Facebook friend taken about a week ago in Southwestern Saskatchewan. Notice the red? Thats supposed to a rare sighting. That is one of the reasons why the Provincial slogan is "Land Of Living Skies" Brian
  7. But then i would hafta be like you guys in the south and not ride in the summer..... Brian
  8. check your gear indicator switch, mine was cracked and leaking oil at a pretty good rate a coupl eof years ago.
  9. here is a pic of the Northern Lights that was taken Aug6-2011, a short drive from Regina SK.
  10. We have been getting great aurora shows all summer around here. but youre right it is usually a bit farther north and usually when the weather is colder. Mike, bring your wife up her in January for a nice winter vacation, and see the lights, youre welcome to stay here. they are on about half the nights in January. I am sure you Florida guys will love our balmy -30 , but its a dry cold..... Brian
  11. laying my bike on the side to fix the baffles isnt going to save me much work, as I have to pull the collector off anyway, to replace at least one exhaust gasket that is leaking too. Briam
  12. I subscribed to a website that emails me when there is a solar event like a flare that triggers the Auroras. Usually I get about a days notice and they are usually right. We are getting back into a period of sunspot activity that seems to make for better shows. This summer was unusual with the intensity and frequency of the shows, usually it is better in colder weather. If I find the website ill post it here, they will send you an email for free. Go to http://spaceweather.com and hit subscribe at the top to get to the free notifications. They also offer a paid service if you like, but the free email works just fine for me. Brian
  13. I have the rattle in the collector and it went away for a while when I leaned ther bike over and gave the collector a good whack with a wooden hammer. But, its back and its drivingme crazy, but i want to make it thru until I put the bike away for the winter. then Ill have lots of time to work on it. Brian there is a thread here on how to fix it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1002
  14. was still almost 80f during the day today here, about 45 for a low. But it sucks that its almost dark by 7pm brian
  15. Its about a 2year old post and i think he made some and sold them all .....but not for sure,,,,maybe drop him a pm and see what he says. Brian
  16. Oh well then we dont have to buy those ugly Deer whistles that dont work then,. Save your money and sing like Yammer!!!! Brian
  17. Whaddya mean! that was the fun part!!!!! Brian
  18. my left eye was the same way last summer with the bubble, and it is a worry when you can tsee anything through it. BUT it is normal and in a week or so you should start to see the liquid starting to fill the eye again and then youll start to see things at the line level as it fills up. (you can be your own bubble level....heheh) (It was hard to ride the bike though, as the bubble kept tricking me into thinking i wasnt level when I leaned into a corner......) I am sure youre going to be fine, they are doing amazing things in eye surgery these days. My thoughts are with you, I am hoping for all the best possible outcomes for you. Brian
  19. I didnt realize that you guys in Ont were into fall colours already. We are still a bit of time away from that, but we still dont get the intensive colours that the maples give you guys in the east. With all the summer temps here we are still almost full green, only a couple of patches of colour. I took these pics on Sunday 25th morning. Brian
  20. Condor, I think you might be on everyones black list....lol! Brian
  21. thanks for keeping us posted how your eye is doing, and thanks for the reminder that we all should try to eat and do things that will be better for us down the road. We are all still hoping and wishing that your eye clears up for you soon. Its so hard to do things that we know we should do today when it wont affect us until tomorrow. Brian
  22. Your eye and vision will probably be fine, although possible slightly less clear vision after the vitrectomy. I had it done last year and the bubble in your eye messes up your balance slightly as it constantly shifts as your head moves from side to side. You wont have much vision in that eye until the bubble is gone, so try not to worry about it. After 4 -6 weeks you should be back to normal and will be a bit more sensitvie to light than you were before. If you need any more info Randy please feel free to call or message anytime. Brian
  23. thks for keeping us posted Randy. Am glad to hear that its probabaly not a detached retina, but the blood in the eye issue is still serious. Keep pushing them on it and dont let them put you off. Almost everything with eyesight needs timely treatment, delays usually mean worse outcomes..... Brian
