  1. Or once you get _ _it on a sheet, you cant wipe it off.... Brian
  2. Youre right, I am not saying we have free health care, i just like not having to deal with the issues of paying for health care upfront like you do. Its just a different way of funding the same thing. Brian
  3. you American guys and your healthcare confuse me. I love just being able to walk up to a hospital or doctor and get things taken care of with a minimum of paper work and hassle. With That said Randy, i hope they treat you well, and that they dont try and make you pay too much. And congrats on making it to 65. Brian
  4. the silicone oil is your best solution as it hold the retina against the back of the eye until it mends and heals. The oil will not allow much vision but when it comes out you will have pretty good odds at vision. If you have an artificial implant lense in place you will have to get that replaced as well, as the oil makes the artificial lens opaque. I have my fingers, toes and even eyes crossed, hoping for you to get a great outcome on your eye. I know it feels like a long haul right now, things will get better. Brian
  5. Yeah, but we get to ride in the summer when A LOT of guys in the south find it too hot to ride. so I figger I get as much riding time as almost anyone. Was still riding today after work. Brian
  6. When mounting my luggage rack I found some washers that are slightly convex on the top and on the bottom is a thick rubber cushion sandwiched onto it. it makes for a nice waterproof connection and it seems to absorb shock and distribute weight very well. Sorry no pics. briax
  7. Hey Randy, Good luck with the surgery, I am sure it will turn out fine, its just so disheartening having to go thru the surgery more than once. I have reasonable vision with the right eye, after being almost totally black in that eye before 2 of the surgeries. so try to keep a positive note, it can and probably will turn out to have useful vision. Brian
  8. Yep, same as mine, cept mine was intermittent, drove me crazy when my side stand switch was acting up too. When it got worse I replaced the clutch switch and havnt had an issue since Brian

  12. My 85 runs like crap until it warms up, I was out today in about 50f temps and needed the choke on for about 10 minutes. It has always been this way and the only time I dont need choke is when its about 90f or more. So I am thinking your issue might be a Yama issue after talking with quite a few of the guys in here. Brian
  13. Let me guess.......youre single arent ya Charlie? Brian
  14. This is close to normal for us, but you guys and the northeastern US have got it bad right now.... Brian

  16. ive never bought one for the 85 , but i think it should be pretty standard, all you should need is the line size. maybe take it in... brian
  17. THks for the reminder Bob, ... I never do... Brian
  18. Still workin on things, Insurance estimates damage at 2200 bucks thats no probs to fix, but insurance wants a guaranteed estimate from repair shop that it wont go above 3300 bucks. Not many shops will do a guaranteed estimate on an old bike. Riding over to an aquaintance tomorrow that is a bike builder in spare time and full time at an autobody shop, he says his boss will have a look and thinks they can do it for me, depending on what they find when they look at it. If I cant get anyone to supply estimate i guess the option is to let them ttl it, ive been checking with friends at insurance and they figure I should get 4kto 4500 for the bike. Brian
  19. They havnt found a way to clone you yet? then you could do the work of 4 guys....not just 2. Brian

  22. I would just pickup a new filter as its a lot cheaper than the pump, and then see how quick your carbs fill . I am suspecting your pump is giving you issues, though. Brian
  23. I just might be, ...still waiting to see how the insurance from the asphalt surfing is gonna turn out. Brian
  24. Yes, mcmaster ignored me twice as well, i called and got told they dont do Canadian orders. What bugged me was that I went thru the whole procedure credit card and all, with no response....why not just a note on the website so I dont waste my time and send my info over the net....it just screams bad customer service. Brian
