  1. yeah, i looked it up on their website, it looks like theyve built some pretty good quality stuff. Careful that you dont hurt yourself moving those trailers around in the heat, it will cut into your ride time.... Brian
  2. Thanks Brian and Gary I am sure I can find that restrictor around here, .....it will be nice to get her running right again. Brian
  3. thanks GUys, now i just gotta find one, is that a special connector or will any connector that fits work? brian
  4. Its not a brass fitting its a piece of plastic that joins the hose together, the other half of the hose is down to the left a bit in the pic, with the end of the hose with the plastic inside facing end on to the camera
  5. My bike has been running like crap for a while now and i finally had time yesterday to have a look at things and clean it up a bit. I found a hose connector broken and both ends of the hose open and one end has a good vacuum on it, when its plugged the bike runs way better, so for now until I can get the connector replaced is it ok to just plug the hose ends? Just what is that hose for? Any ideas? Thanks for your help, Brian
  6. hmmm perhaps you adjusted the brakestoo far and it was engaging the brakes causing a drag to hold you down and cause a lot of gas consumption? Brian
  7. great looking trailer, I like the style, Brian
  8. And you guys think our winters are bad,......at least I can put more clothes ON to stay warm, I dont want to be around Jack if hes taking stuff off to get cool.......:rotfl: Brian
  9. Same here, we had a fantastic winter, but the last 2 months have been way colder than normal and cloudy and light rain....this is sposed to be the sunny place! I hate clouds and gloomy weather,......sure hope it clears up in 2 weeks, just in time for Nelson BC ride!!!!!
  10. A friend put the largest f4 on his gl1500 a couple of weeks ago and then went for a ride out to the lakes area at about 60 mph and it was a bit windy as it buffeted both of our bikes around. When we got back into town he thought he saw a cobweb on his windshield and when looking closer it was cracked all the way through 2 ways from the factory vent and the mounting holes area looked like they were shattered glass, it had almost come completely apart while we were on the road. The F4 seemed to be very brittle and now i would be worried about how sharp these edges would be if you were to get into an accident or if the windshield would let go in the highway. The company he bought it from replaced it free of charge but he didnt go with an f4 again. I know my clearview xxl is much more flexible and i dont think it would break into sharp edges like the f4. Being scratch proof is fine, but i think my safety is worth dealing with some scratches. Brian
  11. i think it was reddevilmedic that did the mod,,,.....ill try to find it. Here, you go check out how reddevilmedic modded his mirrors. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69093 Brian
  12. Thanks for the headsup, my 2007 Escape is just at 80k right now, it would really upset me to have an issue like youre having, I hope you can find some savings somewhere to get that repair down in price. ill be checking mine asap! Brian
  13. Well, i dont know if this helps you or not, but when my 85 did an asphalt slide last October the damage was just over 3400 bucks and my insurance company fixed it. Brian
  14. When mine was cracked it worked, but it leaked oil. Brian
  15. So glad tthat you guys dodged the deer!! Brian
  16. Hoping for the best for ya! The oil impairs your vision, once its out and the eye fills with fluid again, you should regain some vision, but my doc said that youll need a new lens implant as the oil coats your implant lens making it foggy. I hope they get ya close to normal again! ( ...as if thats possible with any of us that come in here....) brian
  17. yep quality windshields cost a fair bit, my xxl clearview with the light tint and the vent was over 300 bucks delivered into Canada. Brian
  18. MY 85 Has the weirdest issue, about twice a year it will not start when hot. the rest of the time its got lots of juice and fires right away. But those rare times it just does a click and the dash lights dim and the headlight goes off like its sposed to. Well, one time i got frustrated and just started pushing buttons while i was holding the start button and when the horn sounded it must have completed a circuit somewhere and the bike fired instantly. I dont know why the horn thing works on my bike, but it does...Ive checked grounds and everything I can think of. It happens so rarely that I will just deal with it until it gets worse. So try your horn when holding the starter....see if it completes your circuit or makes a ground work for you....who knows? Brian
  19. Yeah dont we have a deal with the supplier ? Do you remember who that is Jeff? Brian
