Could it be the synthetic oil???
friesman replied to BigLenny's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
possible,......but not very likely. If you were using anoything other than yamalube I would have more questions. When buying oil avoid the bottles of oil that have the "energy conserving "crest on them as that will definitly cause youre clutch to slip. Brian -
Non Motorcycle topic. Cruise Control issue.
friesman replied to Phoneman1981's topic in Watering Hole

Hi Gary, I know nothing about the site other than a fellow on Facebook recommended it over ayear ago. Its a site from Holland but thats all I know about it. I wont list it anymore if there's an issue about using it, I just thought it was helpful to have it all there. THe link on VRO doesnt seem to have all the service manuals and manuals listed or I am missing something when I look at the VRO link. Brian

Not a picky eater is an understatement,....i think the Bison they had next to Wainwright base where he was working had a large fence around them to keep Rocket out, NOT to keep the Bison in......heheh Brian- 24 replies

that sux, Markus. Did it stay stuck with the wheel somehow until they got it at the shop? Maybe it came off on the tire changer. I hope that you find it with a minimum of hassle. See ya on Friday! Brian Curious what your price on the front tire was?

I like the teardrop better, I think the rounded lines match the lines on the bike better. the other trailer looks ore angular like it would match the stright lines of the bags of a harley. Brian

When you put the wire thru the grommet clean the wire real well with brake fluid first and then ensure its dry. Cover the wire on each side of the grommet with RtV sealant and then pull the wire back and forth thru the grommet to pull some RTV into the grommet, then make sure each side of the opening is sealed up with rtv, this should help make sure you dont have a leak. Let it sit overnight to set up.This is the most common spot to get a leak on the ventures and its a pain if you dont get it right the first time. Glad to hear that youre coming out to Nelson. looking forward to seeing you there! brian- 24 replies

whats this hose for?
friesman replied to friesman's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
NO mine wasnt idling at all, i was having to keep on the throttle at lights and lots of backfire on decel and shifting. Fast idle speed sounds like maybe an air leak somewhere on a hose though..... sorry, Phil, got nuttin for ya... Brian -
Its been a long road for you and I am glad you have that stress out of your lives. I am sorry to hear that the settlement isn't what you would have liked, but at least you can get on with your lives, and we get to see you again. :-) Brian
