Wow, they certainly dont make that clear in their brochures, I think most of us were under the impression that most of the Scala headsets were able to be linked and used together. Even in the manual on my q2 pro set it doesnt say that it will only communicate with one person at a time, it makes it sound like you just add it and you can all share the conversation. Brian

Tims is a lot late to the game, most of the other big fast food outlets have had that for quite a while already. brian

Thats so great that youre fixing it up for her to ride with you. The bike looks like it needs mostly polishing and shining and tweaking and it should be ready to go.......(but I know it hardly ever goes like that...lol) Brian

If youre having the slow crank speed on hot start, FYI that its pretty normal with oem wiring and the oem starter.. There are threads in her describing how to swap out your starter and solenoid wires to a heavier guage and another fix is to swap out your oem starter for a 4 brush starter that the Vmaxs and 99-2012 Ventures have. Mine just has the heavier guage wire fix and it cured my hot start issue. Brian

GEEz, Russ can you change his name to SchlepRock? It sounds like he has that cloud and rain following Kerry everywhere. Remind me not to ride with him on any rides. Brian

just regular Pledge works better than anything else Ive found, and its great at polishing the windshield and chrome with as well

But ive noticed that when you do that it wants to pull the bike to the right, putting stress on the kickstand. I dont think its a huge deal, but now i always put my hip against the bike and push a bit when pulling the handlebars to the right to take some stress off the kickstand. Sometimes on my 85 ive seen the kickstand move a couple of inches on the pavement, and if ifs sunk in at all, it will increase stress and wear on the stand (I know that this in the G2 section of the forum, buti just had my bike drop because of a broken stand, I dont if this hurried the process, so this is an FYI post. Probably just picked up some crap that pluggef a carb a bit Brian
-
I would start by using the YammerDan method. enpty the fuel tank until there is only a quart of fresh fuel left(dump all old fuel), dump a can of Seafoam in and run the bike for a few minutes until youre sure the carbs are full of the mix, then let it sit at least over night, maybe a whole day or more. then put in some fresh gas and then ride the bike, dont baby it. seafoam should clear out your carbs. You may need to replace sparkplugs afrer as the crud the seafoam removes has a tendency to foul plugs. (this method may not work if the carb low speed jets are block completely but its the easiest method i know of to get these machines running decently) Also change your fuel filter... Brian

My 85 is 68 a month, but that includes my collision insurance with a 350 deductible, liability and licence plate. Here you cannot buy licence plates without getting insurance included. I only pay for the months I actually ride which is usually about 8 months. For the winter i put storage insurance on for about 70 bux for the entire year. Brian
