That's what started this whole train of thought.... my fav show... Brian

It wasn't intended as either a political OR a religious post...It was intended as a informational and interesting one... I hope it doesn't turn into one. Hmm didn't know anything in my original post was remotely religious......... Brian

There is a law like that, according to my info. My 1st ex is living in AL, married to an American, and hasn't worked in the 12 years she is living there as she cant get a work Visa. Its all up to the companies to make a case that the import can do the job that the citizen cannot. I think both the US and Canada have similar laws. Brian

, Beiber and Shatner have moved to the US they hafta stay there now......... The Border is one way for those guys..South.....LOL

I was having a thought today, (yes, I know that it's a dangerous thing!) about how many Canadians are in the US working in the entertainment industry. I think its time to let you Americans know that we Canucks are on a stealth program to take over the States. I had no idea that there was this many Canadians working in the US in high profile jobs, and I am sure there is more that I havnt thought about in the 10 minutes it took to do up this list. Anna Paquin Ryan Reynolds Ryan Gosling Fay Wray Paul Haggis Jason Reitman Donald Sutherland Kiefer Sutherland Matthew Perry Nathan Fillion Stana Katic Guess Who Rush Justin Bieber William Shatner Paul Anka Jim Carrey Mike Myers Seth Rogen Ellen Page James Cameron David Cronenberg Eugene Levy Will Arnett Dan Akroyd Martin Short Neve Campbell Hayden Christensen Lorne Michaels Tommy Chong Catherin OHara John Candy Rick Moranis Dave Thomas Elisha Cuthbert Michael J. Fox Brendan Fraser Rachel McAdams Leslie Nielsen Christopher Plummer Tricia Helfer Shania Twain Lorne Greene Neil Young Pamela Anderson Alex Trebek Peter Jennings Bob McKeown Keith Morrison Jay Onrait Dan OToole Raymond Burr the Sheepdogs Bryan Adams Colin James Steppenwolf Buffy St. Marie Joni Mitchell Anne Murray Howie Mandel Gordon Lightfoot kd lang Leonard Cohen This list was meant as a fun look at how similar our 2 countries are, and not to be a political pot-stirring post. Thanks for keeping it light and fun. I am sure there is a very large list of Americans working in Canada, so this should be looked at a job exchange. Beware, of the silent polite takeover!!!! Brian

Front end noise sounds like bearing
friesman replied to KenStar's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I have a metz 880 on the back of my 03 RSV and it has exactly the same noise and vibration youre experiencing. When I look at my back tire after running on a bit of dust you can actually see the cupping as the low parts stay dark. The issue is less when the tire is at 50lbs air, but it still is there. Also, a low speed corner I also feel the individual vibes and noise from the cupping hitting the pavement. I am replacing the tire next week with a Michelin Commander 2 as the noises and vibrations are a pain, and I don't want to lose chunks of tread when I am on vacation. Ive read quite a few of the metzeler 880s seem do seem to blow chunks.( on a couple of levels... ) Brian -
Changed shock & lowered, vibration
friesman replied to Robby's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I hope you get it figured, If not Ill be riding thru there in about 2 1/2 weeks and we could get together for a coffee and compare notes. You could take my 03 for a spin to see if the vibration is a normal thing. I hope that you managed to keep dry with all the flooding in the area around you a couple of weeks ago. Brian -
80 degrees outside and I still need to pull my choke !
friesman replied to AngryAmish's topic in Watering Hole
my 2003 needs a choke every morning, or if its been sitting even in the hot sun, for at least a minute or 2. Brian -
I had both eyes done a few years ago, and I am pretty sure the doc said at least 3 weeks, as he was worried if the bike leaned a bit I might have to exert to straighten it up. Youre not supposed to lift anything over 2o lb (I think) for 3 weeks and your bike weighs a bit more than that, even if it is just leaning. (Plus you have to exert a bit to get it off the side stand.) Ask the doc.... listen.... Brian

Its an amazing thing,...on days that I have to take the Escape its about 20 minutes in to work, on the nice bike days it seems to take over an hour. The bike just HAS to go through Wascana Park, past the water front, check out the girls jogging through there, and then around downtown, admiring itself in all the store windowfronts, and finally over to work or it pouts in the parking stall all day while I am in working. With my 85 VR I never got much more than 35 either at anything above 65 mph, but slow it down a bit to ride some mountain roads or some twisties and I was well over 40, maybe 45 friom time to time. Brian

so glad that you had a great day!!! Brian

I checked my mileage after doing this trip of 911 miles around Sask and Manitoba on July 4th and 5th. http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/road.jsp?roadId=555416&locale=en_US and then click view/edit to have a better look. I got 45mpg on my 2003 RSV riding 1up, the return trip was 55-65 mph due to the twistiness of the roads. The trip to Winnipeg was all on the Trans-Canada highway and speeds were 75 mph most of the way. Winds were mostly light, temps were mid 80's and skies were sunny. Brian

i think he has a line on a Goldwing trike.......... We shall see......... Brian

But, ...the bike had Bridgestones or Dunlop 404's on from the factory, you should be using the pressures that the tire manufacturer recommends, if youre running Metz'z now, I think you should be running their specs to get best performance. Brian

I feel for ya man, I know the pain, I had the left retina detach, tear and a scleral buckle added a couple of years ago. That was the most painful thing Ive had done, as it felt like some guy had his thumb on your eye and pressing down, but it will go away fairly quickly as your eye gets used to the new shape. On an up note, You may end up with better vision than you think you will, Mine is coming back every eye exam and now I can get around pretty weill if I just had to use that eye, its just that things are wavy from the scar tissue along the retina. Youll have very little vision in that eye for the next 6 weeks or so, until it fills back up with liquid as they keep gas in there to keep your eye inflated until it heals. you may also have the oil filled eye that they will have to remove before you can see again. Glad to hear from you, and keep us posted on how youre doing. If you ever want to chat about stuff please feel free to call or email, I would be happy to try and let you know what to expect. Brian

I saw one in a show room awhile back and it was a couple of shades lighter than my sand colour. Just a hint of gold. Lots of ppl mistake mine for silver in certain lighting, so I think the 09 would be hard to tell that its not silver. Brian HMMM did some looking on the net, and now it looks gold to me... here is the link to a bunch of images. Need light weight outdoor cover for 2nd Gen RSV

They are a real bear on loose gravel or sand I will not willingly ride mine onto an unpaved surface. MY 85 G1 wasn't good on loose roads, but its better than the 03 G2 is!. Brian
