  1. Or you do what I do, pack your oldest underwear and socks for the trip and just throw them away as you travel and buy new at Walmart as you need. Also only take along a shirt or 2 as you will need to buy souveneir shirts as you travel.... And if all else fails and you do get to much stuff accumulated just mail your dirty laundry home.... Brian
  2. I have had the Diamond Gusset Defender biking jeans and love them, They are comfortable and fit right and I like the velcro closure at the ankle so the pantleg isnt open to flap and allow insects up into.... In fact I like Diamond gusset jeans so well, that I only buy their jeans now in the regular styles. Great product. Brian
  3. Maybe check with Barend , he still has his leaning sidecar for sale. Brian
  4. my 2 cents, I find that my RSV is quite a bit hotter on my upper legs than my 85 G1 Venture was, especially when stopped in traffic. I always ran the 85 with the plastic fairings on and found it gave me goos weather protection. The RSV gives me good weather protection but I have had a passenger or 2 say that they got some wind buffetting until I put the xxl clearview windshield on. But I am taking that windshield off as its too tall and I cant see over it in the rain. I think I am going to order the large Baggershield so I have the best of both worlds for wind/protection. Brian
  5. I bought the RSV on may 1st in Calgary, made somewhere between 18-20k kms on it. I wandered through Manitoba, Saskatchewan Alberta, British Columbia, North Dakota, Minnesota and a quick beer trip into Idaho. I put the bike into storage in the 3rd week of October and it was my shortest ride season ever, but my highest mileage year ever as i could really put the miles on the more comfortable RSV. Brian
  6. Wow, so sorry to hear of Jean's medical issues,..my thoughts are with you and your family at this time and wishing for a speedy, and complete recovery for Jean. Brian
  7. It may look like a Harley knock off, but its a dam fine looking one, it was designed to look better than the Harley........this has some originality. Brian
  8. I have a anti theft device that has a remote, ive never installed it, its new, but think it will chirp the horn by clicking the handheld device. I would think you should be able to wire an led to the horn to flash when the horn sounds. I can send it down to you, no charge. i dont know what the range of the handhelds is but if you think it would work for you, its yours. (it may need batteries in the handheld units, as ive had in my storage area for about 4 years) Brian
  9. As an Atheist, I would love to take my day in lieu of Christmas day in the warm weather when I could be riding, not in the middle of the shortest daylight part of the year when its too cold to ride!!!!! I would like to say Merry Christmas to eveyone here @ vro. Wishing you all the best in the New Year. Brian
  10. since we have switched to the passes with an expiry date our "blue spots" dont get used as often, it seems we used to have a system that just kept handing out passes and people kept using them. Now, if you are having surgery the doc will issue one to you for a 3 month period or whatever he thinks you will need. there are also permanent tags availble but require some documentation to get. Its too bad that we have to resort to this type of system to limit things, but its like everything else, if someone can take advantage of a loophole they will. Brian
  11. there are a few different types of yellow bulbs available and this is one. Theu=y also make one a shade lighter and I really like it as it has just a hint of yellow and really makes your bike or car get noticed. I find the hint of yellow really seems to help contrast the objects infront of me, but according to other people it doesnt help at all. i was going to put these in the passing lights when i get them installed on the RSV. BTW, Anyone know of a good deal on a passing light bar? 13. Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone! (I think......lol) Love ya all, Brian
  14. Jack, I care about you and a lot of members on this site, and I do agree with your idea of support. We should support our local members first. if we dont, they wont do what they do best, and that is help the rest of us that need guys like you to keep these scoots running like they should and keep improving the the bikes performance. Thanks for what you member vendors do for us we do appreciate all your work, and I will always check the member vendor area first before buyinganywhere else. Brian

  17. I hate to hafta be the one to tell ya, BUT, Toronto was the laughingstock of Canada LLLOOOONNg before that:yikes:.....and the way Rob Ford is going it isnt going to end anytime soon...... Brian
  18. Its a fantastic video, Ive posted it here before and loved it. The guy that flew the plane and shot the vid built the plane while living here in Regina. When he retired he moved back to his home on the island. Its a great vid that shows the marvelous sights your area of the world has to offer! thanks for posting it, I love it. Brian
  19. If you cant lift it, ride the back tire onto a piece of 2x8 board to get the bike just that little bit extra high and it will be easy to get it onto the stand. Brian
  20. I have had the same one few times and have always deleted it. Anyone I deal with already has my info and wouldn't ask for it in an email. Brian
  21. hmmm if you sit on it, the bike should tilt back on the back tire and when you drop the clutch you should be able to drive off the stand,...shouldnt you? I did it a few times on my 85 with the same setup. Brian
  22. I think a fair amount of the lack of traffic could be attributed to the number of Venture related Facebook sites as well. I think I counted 4 or 5 and I see a lot of the same names I see here on most of those, so if you spread a little bit of time around at each one we notice it here. Brian
  23. Wow, it hurts to read this, I am hoping and wishing that the eyesight in the latest eye clears up soon, with few issues, and no pain. Brian
  24. We did a meet and greet a couple of years ago in Herbert SK to visit Pete (tessa2c) after his stroke. We had about 10 bikes out and thanks to Pete and his wife Hazel we all had a great time. Pete asked if we could do one again this year and he offered his place again about 100 yards off the TransCanada highway as a location, but I felt badly that my summer was just too busy and was over before we could get something organized. I am actively involved in Ride for Sight in Elbow SK (relatively central in SK, thats almost as big as Texas), maybe we can tie something in with RFS during the 3rd weekend of June. Brian
