  1. If youre using Firefox and having issues with things just not working right or your settings have been changed by malware do a reset to default to get it back to new. In the top menu click on Help, Troubleshooting. then look at the top right side of the screen and youll see a box the has a button that will reset Firefox back to the settings it had when you downloaded it. It fixes most issues, but you will have to re-install your add ons. (but be careful, they are likely what caused some of your issues in the first place ) Brian
  2. I don't want to create work for anyone that is supposed to be having a good time. But, do you think there would be time/ desire to hookup the driving light kit? It supposed to be a big job and has me kinda spooked as I don't really know what end of a screwdriver to use... Russ if you could let me know If its too big a job or not, Ill leave it at home and get it installed if its too much to do for a fun weekend Brian
  3. Ive picked up the mirror finish stainless steel twinky and carb covers from SlowrollWv and they are first rate with a decent price. Also, if you are putting on a light bar, get his spacer bar so you can open the fairing without having to take your light bar off. Brian
  4. so sorry to hear of your crash, but very thankful that youre mostly ok... Don't wait to get that spot looked at in your lung,....it might turn out that the crash saves you by detecting something early.... Brian
  5. the past few Intls have been east and to me west means west of KS, NE, SD and so on as this is the geographic west of the US when you look at a map. We in the west have fewer riders than the east and it appears that its about a 2/3 east and 1/3 west so I would like to see a truly west event geographically so that the 1/3 of us in the east can actually attend an INTL event. Just my 2 cents and an observation. Brian
  6. I just used JB weld and epoxied a dime over the crappy sight glass.on my 85 Brian
  7. I agree the Sturgis area would be fantastic. I would help anyone set something up in this area, but I havnt been there and don't know about too many details of running an Intl. Brian

  13. I run a 130 MC2 on the front of my RSV with about 4000 miles on it and looks new, I have the OEM size MC2 on the back with about 14000 miles on it and I really don't see any signs of wear yet. I have ridden the tires in cold and heat and they have performed very well, Ive ridden it thru an absolute downpour going to Calgary a couple of months ago and I felt like I was glued to the road at all times. I would definitely buy them again and I do like the narrower tire on the front for the lighter handling, but I have found that when my passenger is on I need to add some air to the shock or the front tire feels a bit light and seems to wander. When I make the shock more full of air the situation goes away and it handles fine for me. Brian

  17. I would take all of the sparkplugs out before trying to start up the bike, .. and crank the bike over a few times to blow any possible fuel out of the plug hole instead of a possible hydrolock damaging your engine. Brian
  18. Any wider on the back, and you may not clear the driveshaft tube. Brian

  20. mraf,...I loved my 85 for all the reasons you listed, but because it was a one only year parts were a pain to track down Brian
  21. Have never had an issue either, crossing either way. SOmetimes a line up to get through but nothing more.. Most of the time I drive up to the window, stop, take off the helmet so they can see who I am , answer 2 or 3 questions, and then continue on, the agent never even sends a guy out of the building most of the time. Brian
  22. I am headed to PIP about that time if youre going to be there we can run up to the border together if the schedules work... Brian
