  1. My patience ran out so I resorted to brute force ( no damage to the case ) just had to break it apart, thank you anyways. Damn plastic bakelite joint. Was ceized all the way around across 2 inches of rust. Never a dull project when something goes spicy on these jigsaw bikes but reliable once they're running. Deff a love hate thing
  2. Good morning fellow venturer's, I'm looking for some help trying to remove joint 1 from the head so i can continue down to the metal gasket and replace all my top end seals. My issue is with the bake light joint for antifreeze that crosses the head under the cam chain. I've been following my books and engine disassembly videos just to make sure I don't screw up and sure enough this joint (called joint 1 in the schematics) is made of bakelite im told and it's just crumbling. The tabs broke off to pull it out and at this point I'm thinking just get it out but I don't want to cause any damage. Any insight would be much appreciated as at this point I'm out of ideas. at this point I've already tried - gentle wiggle - light mallet taps from inside lip -Heat gun -pentrating oil and time Right now im thinking of putting a set of needle nose pliers to it and braking it loose, if I can twist it maybe it'll start to wiggle out. I understand its only held in by the lock pin and a set of o rings so I dont know why it's being this difficult.
