  1. Solved** The plus was originally intended for an audio system which my bike does not have. I found the missing relay hiding in some wiring. I had to fix the headlight wiring as it was messed up from the previous owner but after throwing a new bulb in and correcting the wiring my tail lights and running lights work as they should.
  2. The rear master cylinder was actually perfect. The brake pedal was the issue. I managed to free it up and bleed the brakes. They are working as they should now!
  3. Thanks blueSky, I figured as much.
  4. Hey guys, I just purchased a new to me 83 venture 1200. The rear brake pedal is extremely hard to push and I have to pull back up. The reservoir was dry, I added some DOT 4 and sprayed some penetrating oil on the pedal up to the master cylinder. am I missing a place to make an adjustment? I was hoping the brake fluid would help loosen it up.
  5. 3rd update. I’m missing a relay of some sort. Not sure which one it is, and the others were not in the slotted space. I replaced them the best I can. If anyone has an idea of which one in need?? I’ll try and find it in the service manual. The pics are from right to left. The 3rd slot is the empty one. I’m thinking the wiring harness plugs in it.
  6. Update* My brake lights are no longer working. I tested the last fuse slot for my taillights and it did not have any power.
  7. Hey guys, I just purchased a new to me 83 venture 1200, it’s running okay currently but I’m don’t have tail light or running lights. The Brake, turn signals and hazards work fine. Behind the headlight I found some wires that were unplugged. I looked and did not find a mate. anyone have any clue what this plugs into?
