  1. I'll have to vote for the Sandisk Sansa E250. But why would you want to use an MP3 when you have a perfectly good cassette deck??
  2. Billet

    wind!!

Wind, You want wind. Like Mordalo says, Visit NM:rotf:
  3. Here you go. Like I said I didn't install them. Looks like if you have highway pegs they would just fit between the peg and the mount. There is a tab welded to the 1/2" square Air Wing support rod. If you don't have pegs you would have to come up with a clamp I guess. Hope this helps, Gary
  4. Sure, I'll take some close-ups tommorow.
  5. If it still doesn't work there is a connector under the rear seat. Take the front seat off first (2-10mm nuts on the bottom in front) then the back seat (two bolts in front) then make sure both connectors are clean and tight.
  6. Here's a killer wheel chock from Harbor freight I'm thinking about getting for my trailer. I,ve seen it on sale for $32. http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/itemdisplay/displayItem.do?itemid=96349&CategoryName=&SubCategoryName= I chringed when my RSV arrived last month from TN via STI. It was on a nice pallet with a depression for the front wheel to sit in and eyes for tie downs. They used the triple tree and the trunk mount for mounting points. Luckily nothing bent.
  7. I changed the rotor on my Vstar last year. They are in with Locktite. I was able to get them to turn by using a cold chisel and taping the edge of the head in a c/clockwise direction. Replacements were something like 85 cents @ the local stealer.
  8. Here's what they look like. And how they attach. I think they look pretty good. Have only had the bike for a month and they were already there so I have not had a chance to try them in the heat of summer yet but I think they will work well!
  9. Know what you mean about a dual purpose, I the wife and I had to sell the RSV and her Virago or the XT'S it would be a hard choice. We trailer them behind the RV and just have a blast in the mountains.
  10. Put a new set of Metzlers on the old 1100 Vstar last year. When I picked up the wheels the rear had 5 1/2 ounces of lead on it (even on the same side as the valve, tube type). I called Metzler and all they said was "take it back" After I convinced the dealer to exchange it the replacement "only" took 2 1/2 oz. Just got Avon's for the Venture!!
  11. Local Yamaha dealer here will mount and balance for $22.40. Even if you buy the tires elsewhere. Check out this link for the die hard DIY. http://www.clarity.net/~adam/tire-changing.html
  12. Looks like "billet aluminum" to me. What the heck is billet aluminum any way?? I've been in the machineshop business for 35 years and never made anything out of a billet. Just about all aluminum starts out life sometime as a billet i guess, unless of course it happens to start out as an ingot. The one that really gets me is "Aircraft grade 6061-T6" They just don"t make airplanes out of 6061. And don"t get me started on chrome-moly. Any way, Nice job and when you are not carrying your tent it would be a good place for a second passenger to stand.
