  1. I just picked up the Plain Jane leather tool pouch from Carolina Leather Works [http://www.carolinaleatherworks.com]. I just mounted the bag to the from of my bike. It attaches right to the crosbar for the highway lights. This is the tool pouch, it's only $19.95+5.95s&h. I ordered it Sunday and I put in on the bike Thursday. I think I'll dress it up a bit with a Yamaha Star Concho. My tools (2 cresent wrenches, 1 3/8 ratchet, 2 metric hex key sets, 1 metric ratchet set, 2 philips screw drivers, 1 driver with 2 dozen bits) all fit snuggly. They won't be rattling around up there. This tool pouch will give me back some room in my saddle bag. Get bagged at Carolina Leather Works!
  2. I had been looking for boots for a while. I finally found RedWing Zipper 979 Motorcycle boots. They have been the most comfortable boots I've ever worn.

    link's

It's one of my favorites too. I was coming in here to post it back and Dray beat me to it.
  4. I used to ride without them, then regular leather driving gloves. This year I picked up a pair of fingerless gloves with hard Kevlar knuckles. When you think about it this doesn't make much sense. I just picked up a new pair of gloves from JC Whitney. Gladiate-R Kevlar leather gloves. ($49.99) They are full fingered and offer great protection. They may be too warm for hot summer days, but this fall they will be great. Heck even today it's a bit cooler out (mid 70's) and they were just fine. A couple that we ride with locally was in a severe bike/semi accident. Both were wearing full head to toe protective gear. The husband died from blunt force trauma, but his wife survived. Neither had any road rash. My wife and I are spending the money now to get full protective gear. What happened to them convinced us it's worth the money.

    Mesh Gear

I picked up a Mosse mesh/leather riding jacket this year. I don't know how I survived previous summers wearing my HOT leathers. My wife picked up the Mesh tek2 jacket from First Gear this year also. This mesh stuff is great.
