Al, pavers have a lime rock base followed by a finer base. Pavers are installed then tamped down with a compactor, as is the base. Edges are held in place by concrete and sand is swept into the joints and compacted. Finally, the whole thing is sealed. You could drive a truck on it.

David, the deck was only low at that point. The other side was just above the ground. No wonder the low side rotted..LOL. I leveled the yard with a TerraMite dozer and now its level. The slope is where the path goes to the gate on the other side. Peg, I went into the spa today for the first time.....are you supposed to float in there???? All those jets kept me pretty afloat. Nice snow there Don......

Just what I was looking for. I remember when we first met, Mike. You mentioned where the wires might rub and wear down in the passing light bracket. Now im rewiring that bracket and sealing it too. Thanks Mike.

They must have upgraded their kit. 4 years ago the Barnett kit didnt have new bolts. I guess enough of us kept breaking the old bolts in the basket to make Barnett throw in 2.00 worth of bolts...

So, do you really think that description makes you stand out at Bike Week??? Ill be wearing jeans and a black tee shirt....:rotf: -
Don, cost and the rot factor was one of the considerations I used when deciding to go with concrete pavers. My deck looked good..on top...once I looked below, rot city. Im guessing your deck is elevated..mine wasnt and it lasted 15 years. The deck would have cost about 2500.00 in materials and the pavers were 1200.00 more. And did I really want to do it again in 15 years??? Heck no. Got to finish the landscaping this weekend too. Another 300-400.00 down the tubes. Patio furniture is being built as we speak! Mini......im thinking a Meet & Eat here at the house late April, early May. Pick a good weekend for all of yas and it will happen.

Finally took some pics of the famous non deck building non meet and eat that ever was...... The last pic shows what was there before the pavers.

Anyone know what Gauge wire is used on the driving lights?

I know it looks tempting to re-use the old bolts but believe me.....replace those old bolts with new ones!! The old ones WILL snap when you least expect it. I was lucky...I was able to EZ out the broken piece. If you cant then its time for a new basket. I personally replaced the bolts with hardened allen head bolts. It made installation easier as I was able to start the bolt with a speed wrench, leaning into the wrench with my chest to take the pressure off the springs. Worked great.

Carbon One from this forum sells a nice polished bracket to mount the Stebel horn in the stock location. Im sure he will chime in here. You may be able to find it in the VR classifieds. 15.00. -
Hmmm, Charlie...thats not LetHimRide........

Mine measured 12.50 at rest and 14.05 while running at high rpm. 11 range seems a bit low. Sounds like a weak cell.

Stand down Mike....your mission is completed! Our prayers and condolences go out to Mikes family and friends. Rest well.

Al, its under warranty and if there is a charging issue it would be covered. Let the dealer worry about it first. If the key was on for a while like you said it might have been, it may have put enough strain on the battery even after re-charging to weaken it substantially. Dont tell the dealer that though..LOL. Its possible a cell went bad too. And if your not running a Battery Tender, well, get one.....Signal Dynamics makes a nice LED charging light for about $27.00.

Kurt, get well. The bike will get back together sooner than you think. You need to heal first.
