http://www.signaldynamics.com/products/LicensePltFrame/cd_chrome_led_frame.jpeg A few weeks ago I replaced my tail light with a LED board and a clear lens. What I failed to do and I didnt realize it until one night last week when a cop pulled me over at 230 am by work was the fact that I didnt have a licence plate light anymore. I then realized that when I switched to the LED board it no longer illuminated upwards like a regular bulb, thus no plate light. My explanation worked and I promised the kind officer that I will get a lighted frame this weekend. After searching several sites, JP being the most expensive in the 59.00 to 120.00 dollar range. I found the above frame at www.signaldynamics.com for a paltry sum of 35.00. 42.00 with shipping and tax....yes, they are located in my home state. Exciting, huh!

But what about that fantastic "RESALE VALUE" that the HD dealers and owners all love to talk about to justify their overpriced purchase??? :whistling: (now dont read anything wrong into this, im just making light of it, but it IS what my HD riding buddies always say to me) :stirthepot:

Bad enough were paying record prices for gas but now were being gouged a little bit more. Has anyone noticed the difference between the grades now? As long as I can remember it was always 10 cents difference per grade. Now im seeing anywhere from 12 cents to 20 cents difference per grade....now thats chutzpah!

WIKD, I too had to twist the arm of my dealer to replace my fairing for the same issue. Once he checked with Yamaha, it went right through.

I found Geico was the cheapest for me. I had Progressive and my rates went up Progressively every year......

I have a Hartco on my 99 and I love it. A Corbin kinda pushes me too far forward, but this scoops the butt nicely.

I ran the 12" on my last Harbor Freight trailer with no problems. Im about to build a new H/F trailer with the 8" wheels. You didnt mention if your planning on using the H/F trailer kit. If you are, make sure you clean out the original grease (actually it's vaseline) from the bearings and replace it with a good quality grease.

Word of caution. That River St cobblestone rd, combined with train tracks that run on it can be very treacherous, especially if wet or damp. I had a hell of a time on the RSV 2-up on it. Be careful!

I have windows XP. When I ran Norton I had spyware and numerous viruses invade the PC. Even adaware didnt stop all of them. Finally 1 virus did a number on me and I had to wipe the hard drive and re-install everything. Now, I hope you have the service pack 2 for windows and update when recommended. One other thing. ATT is my ISP provider and their security suite is second to none. Since using it I have had absolutely no spyware and/or virus issues. I also dont click on any ol link anymore. My son-in-law swears by the MAC but he wont shell out the 2k to let his ol dad-in-law find out just how wonderful it really is...

Very nice 1st gen. And this is coming from a dyed in the wool 2nd genner. I wish my bike looks that good in 20 or so years.

The rubbers help put pressure on the fairing to keep it from banging. Without the rubbers, my fairing knocks on hard bumps. With the risers, you cant mount the rubbers without some mods. I have a rubber company here in town and im going to bring them the stock rubbers to see if they can add the additional height needed to slip under the bars. Ill let you all know how that works out soon.

Maybe I can make it there as well on Sat.

Welcome Dave. For the idling issue you may want to add a can of SeaFoam carb cleaner to the tank and run it through. The stuff really works wonders. Most Advance and AutoZone stores carry it and I think Wal-Mart does too. A white can with red lettering in the fuel injector cleaner section. You may have to repeat this another time.
