  10. I agree with all of the above. (wow, talk about being a slacker)....
  11. Sorry Eck, now that your a political big-wig here my bike is strictly off limits to you now. I might just have it donated to the Smithsonian or the local Hooters instead. We wont even discuss my wife....... Congrats to you both. I know the Goose will be fair yet firm and Eck, well, what more can I say.
  12. Energy Dept announced that gas prices will remain at/around $4.00 a gal into 2009.
  13. Ill just state this for the record: No tire should fall apart unless its under extremely harsh conditions which far exceed the recommended tire pressures. There are or should be allowances for such variables. To have a tire come apart with just a few pounds of air pressure differences is just bad workmanship/quality control. Furthermore, I think we should all save our de-laminated tires and bring them to the next big rally where Metzeler has a tent set up and put them on display. I had planned on doing that during last years Biketoberfest here in Daytona but I was not able to get down there due to surgery. Vinny, the Metzelers were a great handling tire. Too bad they dont hold up. I put 14k on my first set of Avons and at least they didnt come apart.
  14. Two of my three sets of Metz delaminated. Mets customer service could care less. Ill stick with the Avons now.
  15. JT, its an 86. The original fairings had some hidden damage and was replaced with a black set. The rest of the bike is black/tan or something like that.
  16. Wow, 900+ pics!!! Great job Bobbie.
  17. Great news, JT. Ill pray some more here on my end.
  18. "Thank you for coming to my Maintenance Day " No, Don, THANK YOU!!!!!!!
  19. Vinny, Vinny, Vinny..........:confused24:

  21. Nite Dan............
  22. First I would like to thank Don and Eilene for hosting this wonderful event and for all the hospitality that they have shown me while I was a guest there. Oh yea, Dylan too. He did a great job of burning that annoying CD:rotf:. It was my first and it was great to meet all of you. Don, thank you for facilitating the SSP portion of MD also. That being said, I would also like to thank ALL of the participants who over the last 5 months supported us in making the Secret Squirrel Project a reality. whether you contributed money, time, talents or just well wishes, believe me, it was all very much appreciated. I just cant say enough about how much you all have helped us with this endeavor. Im not going to mention names...you all know who you are. Thank you all. On a more personal note: Brad and Lonna....im at a loss for words. You two are the real deal. Anytime, brother.... OK, so I didnt take pics. Bobbie and others will fill in the blanks soon. Hope to see you all sometime in the future.
  23. Eddie, threatening Yamaha with a lawsuit will only make them back off. It would put them on their guard and they would then be very cautious with what they say to you. They have plenty of money to take you on if need be. I know your pissed off right now but cool down a bit. Maybe if you call the rep back, politely apologize for the threat, without kissing their butt in the process, and let the rep look the bike over in 2 weeks. You went through this for such a long time another 2 weeks should be a cake walk. Once that time has passed and you have not received satisfaction, by all means seek a good lawyer. Also look into the lemon law. Good Luck.
  24. Ill second that and lets not forget the train tracks too........I almost dropped my RSV twice on River Rd. And if its wet out, completely forget it.
  25. You got a PM Goose
