turn signal when brake light comes on
1BigDog replied to ventureblue's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I got the same set-up as Riderduke. I believe its what you are looking for.I also added clear lenses over the colored ones and a LED tail light board with a clear lens. If you decide to go that way too, remember you need to add a lighted plate frame also. http://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gif http://nopork.com/images2004/filler1.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/filler2.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_store_on.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_technical_off.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_community_off.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_classifieds_off.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/filler3.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/titl_products.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/graytop.gif Categories New Items Accessories Apparel Chrome Controls Electrical Filters Frame Grips Handlebars Helmets Luggage Performance Seats STARBBQ2008 Wheels Windshields Towing Catalogs Click the Catalog http://nopork.com/images/2007_street.jpg Call or Email 1-888-4NOPORK Shop by Bike Get Financing Yamaha Roadstar Yamaha Venture Yamaha V-Star Honda Shadow Honda Goldwing Honda VTX Suzuki Intruder Kawasaki Vulcan Kawi Mean Streak Sportbikes other bikes...Yamaha WarriorYamaha ViragoYamaha VentureYamaha V-MaxYamaha StratOlinerYamaha Royal StarYamaha RoadlinerSuzuki VolusiaSuzuki MarauderSuzuki BoulevardKawasaki NomadKawasaki DrifterKawasaki ConcoursHonda ValkyrieHonda SpiritHonda RebelHonda MagnaHonda Goldwing Shop by Brand Barons Dynatek Galfer Highway Hawk Jardine Lindby SoftBrake Supreme Legends http://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/filler4.gif Continue Shopping | View Cart | My Orders | Terms & Policies http://nopork.com/imagesprod/PN01315.jpg click for bigger picture Turn Signal Conversion Kit for Yamaha Warrior, Yamaha Virago, Yamaha Venture, Yamaha V-Star, Yamaha V-Max, Suzuki Volusia, Suzuki Marauder, Suzuki Intruder, Suzuki GSF600S Bandit 600, Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit 1200, Honda Valkyrie, Honda Spirit, Honda Shadow, Honda Rebel, Honda Magna Fitment: Yamaha All Stars, Suzuki cruiser up to 2003, all Honda excluding, vtx (n), cruisers Think of this - your rear turn signal housings are illuminated only when the turn signal is flashing. These are dead lights the rest of the time. Our signal kits simply, easily and legally: - make those dead housings additional red running & brake lights the rest of the time. -TRIPLE the size of your rear running and brake lights without adding any additional housings. - do not alter the operation or components of the stock turn signals. - shut off the red light in the signal housings when the amber signal comes on. Other kits make your signal lights into running lights and signals, but in amber: - ILLEGAL on any motor vehicle and much more expensive than our kit plus. - NO brake lights! No dying or replacement of the lens is required either with our kit. Federal regulations require a motorcycle to have amber turn signals and this kit keeps you in compliance and safer. Will not fit the following bikes: 2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50T fits all bikes listed below Harley: Dyna Road King/Glide Softail Ultra Honda: Rebel Shadow Valkyrie (all) VTX (except "N") Indian: all (stock lighting only) Kawasaki: Nomad, Vulcan Suzuki: all cruisers up to 2003 Yamaha: Star Series (V/Road/Royal Stars) V-Max Venture Royal Star #PN01315 http://nopork.com/images/visa.gif Price: $52.45 -
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU TWO.

Try and play with the positioning of the brake master assembly by sliding it in a bit on the bars then try and slide the throttle in more and retighten everything. It took me quite a few tries and some realignment but I finally found the sweet spot. I pulled on the cable but it was at its maximum stretch. Once the throttle housing is open, you can spray some cable lube in there to help things slide a bit easier.

Which is something that some cagers and bikers need too remember when they decide to pull in front of a loaded semi and do something stupid like making a last second turn or stop or whatever. That truck will not be able to stop in time. Its a lack of respect for the size of the vehicle. They dont seem to realize just how much stopping distance a truck needs. Same as those fools that try to cross a R/R crossing and think the train can stop in time.....we all know that outcome. Most motorists who have never driven a semi should go out with a professional driver one day and see all of the foolish stuff that cagers and the occasional biker do. Its a wonder more arent killed. We do have our share of bad truckers out there too, but remember, once they park that big rig and climb into there car or bike..do they become bad motorists as well??? Last big truck accident happened to me in 1987 because some motorist decided to sneak up on my blind side and cut across the front of me in the Bronx during rush hour....guess who drove off after I was forced into a jacknife to avoid killing the moron??

Had the power go out for several hours today and almost the same time I lost power the top half of a dead tree in the indian cemetary broke off and landed in my yard, taking out a section of fence too. Since I have been in a heated "discussion" with the homeowners association about these dead trees for several months now, I just might have a legal recourse to go after them. And the one board member whos the most pig headed (no pun) rides an Ultra. (maybe he takes it out once every 2 months).....My last e-mail to them said that you expect us to follow the covenents and restrictions laid out in the by-laws and you send out letters to those that dont comply..well, I also expect you to follow those same rules....no answer yet.

All joking aside Ruff, I am glad the storm passed with out leaving any termoial in your world.. Nope..still hasnt passed yet. Just like a woman to decide to stall over Daytona for a while. We should be getting one of the larger bands here in Jax real soon. We already lost power twice since 4 am and one of the bridges was shut down due to wind but is now opened, for how long though is anyones guess. Looks like it IS gonna make itsa way to the panhandle though. I keep eyeing that 60' oak tree in my back yard..the one whose main branch hangs over my new patio.........Im definitely gonna take it down this winter.

My thinking with the hockey puck is to shape it just like the riser so it follows the same contours as the original rubber spacer so that when you bolt the bars down it acts like an extender. Im going to try that soon and if it works ill post pics.
-
Ive had my Sears lift for years now with no issues. I have been using hockey pucks on the corners of the lift but even better, you can order a Carbon One lift adapter which attaches under the bike with a simple rod and it makes a sturdy area to lift the bike with. It may still be listed in the classifieds. Or im sure Larry will chime in.

\ Yes Eck, its tucked tight into the garage and the convertable is right next to it too. And your future betrothed (sp) knocked the headlight visor off when she leaned on it. I guess you want me to split the fairing and put it on for ya too..huh?? By the way, it looks like were gonna get lucky. The storm didnt head out far enough in the ocean to rebuild strength so it looks like we will get some tropical winds and heavy rain. I think itll fizz out once it reaches Lake City or not too far past.

And dont get a ticket on the way.......

Im having the same problem too. I remember someone a while ago had a post about drilling and tapping the lower part of the riser and adding a short length of 1" chrome pipe to simulate a handlebar. So far I havent been able to find it. Maybe ill try the hockey puck thing. Shape it up nice and add some chrome stick on moulding to hide it a bit, maybe a 1" wide piece.

Yea, but its supposed to be at hurricane strength when it hits us, if it hits us. Im glad you guys down there got through it though. Hmmmm, sure is a good test for that gazebo.....

It dont look too good for the Jacksonville area come Thurs if Fay decides to turn into us here. Bad thing is this storm is so misguided that they cant even make an accurate prediction at this point. Storms usually break down over land but since this passed over the Everglades, it had enough moisture to get a bit stronger. Keeping my fingers crossed here. I just hope that wherever this thing lands that everyone is safe.
