  1. Yamaman, sounds like your problems are dirty carbs, like most suggested. You may want to check out this thread: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24175 It may help ya. Also it sounds like your getting a bit frustrated. When that happens its time to walk away from the bike until YOU feel ready to work on it. I made some of my biggest errors while trying to fix something while stressed out. Heck, my charging system took me months to figure out but I had plenty of good help here. Good luck.
  2. Naaa, just bored and reminiscing as we scoured through some old boxes and albums in the closet. Are you implying that were old farts now???
  3. That did get bloody!! It was up to 100.00 when I last checked. Midrsv got his moneys worth. The last guy got outbid by 99 cents at the last minute.
  4. Going through some old boxes I found some old pics of Jeans 550 Honda and my 750 Honda SS. The 550 was on a trip to Mt Washington NH circa 1978. Also some pics of my trailer, which I sold a few years ago.
  5. I was going to bid on it but it went beyond my limits, which is good for you.....LOL:thumbsup2:
  6. 2 pm...............
  7. Send me 10.00 bucks...ill send ya something. Make it a 50 and ill send you a whole lot of something......
  8. For many years I did most of the cooking on Thanksgiving. 20 lb bird, stuffing, whipped Idaho spuds, carefully hand peeled at 7 am TG morning while listening faithfully every year to Rock 105 radio play "Alice's Restaurant" every year at 7 am. Candied and marshmallowed yams, mississippi mud cake, etc. Well, since its just Jean and myself now at home we decided to scale it down a bit. Since my surgery last year I cant eat much anyway, so.....were going to get a 15 lb smoked bird from Sonny's BBQ. Had it last year and it was great. Walnut raisin stuffing, my famous potatoes and a few pies. Nothing fancy. Only thing I can eat is the turkey anyhow. As Zeus says: Bone' Appetite'
  9. I firmly believe in global warming. I place each globe on a heater and sit until warmed.
  10. Sorry Mini, but you didnt move South far enough.
  11. Very glad to hear Al is alright. Since this was posted yesterday he must be pretty close to home now. Hang in there, you'll see him real soon.......

  14. While I salivate for an updated 150 hp detuned VMAX motor in a 3rd gen RSV, most of us have come to expect not too much from Yamaha. We all waited with baited breath for each years new releases only to have our hopes dashed. All I can say is that Yamaha better wake up real soon and do some serious upgrades to the RSV.
  15. Looking good Kevin. Let me know if you need any help....
  16. Hang in there Renate. Im sure Alan will be alright. Truckers are a tough breed. And you guys have our prayers.
  17. Wow, what a great Tat that would make..hmmmmm
  18. I know just what you mean, JT. It took us several hours to get Thom out of his shell. Heck, the only time he really opened his mouth was to put in some DQ.
  19. Got mine today too......looks good.
  20. Hang in there Cindy...were pulling for yas down here.....
  21. Im not sure how it would apply to a RSTD but I had similar pain on my 99 RSV and cured it with Barons risers. They raised the bars up 1 1/2" and allowed me to grip the bars without excessive stretching. You may also want to consider a backrest. It does wonders for your back too.
  22. Glad your okay little brother......whew....
  23. Wait a minute.....is that the "Blonde"????????
  24. What does he know.....he rides a 1st gen......
