  1. Dang it, I missed something again........ Ruffy.........whos always a day late.....but never to the dinner table (sorry Boomer, just couldnt resist)
  2. Im right in the middle of adding LED's. Mounted one right under the driving lights aiming down on the fender, one under each air box, one over each cylinder, one strip under each saddlebag and two under the trunk. Ill post pics when done. As far as the driving lights are concerned every time you remove (split) the fairing you have to drop that light bar using a ball end 6mm allen head wrench, which becomes a major pain. There is a member here who makes a light bar adapter out of aluminum, which, when installed lowers the light bar and moves it forward a bit so you can split the fairing without removing the light bar. Saves you much hassle in the future. I dont remember who but im sure someone will chime in with his name or you can do a search for light bar adapter. As far as exhausts, most of us, myself included run Harley R/K mufflers. Usually no more than 50.00 off of ebay brand new takeoffs in most cases. BUB makes a nice sounding muffler too but about 400.00 a pair.
  3. I think we have more of an inner tube than an inner circle......so does that make it an innie or an outee????
  4. Scott, the link to ebay that Buddy Rich listed is the clamp you are looking for. I had gotten my clamp from iron city cycles but they no longer have a web listing, at least one that I can find. The 36.00 buy it now price is about average. The clamp is first class though.

    WORK

I hate work too. I was just offered a second shot at an early retirement. Same deal as last year. Only 900.00 a month. Told them sorry folks, I cant be bought off that cheap. Make it 1800.00 and im gone.
  6. Much of the corn has gone to making ethanol, hence the price increase. I used to go through a 50 lb bag a month for 17.99. Now the size has been reduced to 44 lbs and the price is 22.95 and this is at Wal-Mart.
  7. Me too...........
  8. Still cant get into chat.
  9. Cant take credit for this one. This idea has been around for as long as there have been Barons risers. Another member, LetHimRide, had the drill press and the tap to do this. I tried installing it myself but found that you couldnt balance the handlebar, the riser AND the rubber insert at the same time, so my friend Dan came over to assist.
  10. While I didnt use pucks I did use an old solution to the problem: Took the riser, laid it on its side and drilled and tapped a 1/4 20 hole and thread. Took a 1" OD section of pipe and sprayed it with rubber insulation so it kinda blends in with the rubber bumper and bolted it down with large washers to the side of the riser, which mimicks a handlebar section. Just install the riser and bumper and your done. Oh yea..you will need a second hand unless you have 3 arms.
  11. Hmmmm, Muffin...i'd love to frost your cupcakes pink......seriously!!
  12. Yep, never liked Cerabus....only thing I thought was cool was the icon for a future tattoo.
  13. Take it from someone who has had chunks of rubber come off of two out of three sets of Metz 880's and got lousy customer service from Metzeler to boot, I wouldnt use them again. Ill be the first to say that the Metz handles great in dry/wet weather but it seems that there are issues with the rear tire that Metzeler refuses to address, only to blame it on underinflation by the rider. Im not the only one over the past 5 years who have had delamination issues with the 880. Also, the 170 rear tire sidewall will hit the swingarm when it expands as it gets hot. I have seen it happen while at the Hoot one year.
  14. And we added some Georgia nuts to the mix too.....
  15. That looks like a diamond r arm rest. www.diamondraccessories.com
  16. I usually flush them with every pad change, at least the rear ones. The front I do at least twice between pad changes or if the fluid starts to look darker in color. Same for the clutch fluid. That MityVac comes in handy.
  17. Congrats Sherry and Bill. Dont know about the tie though....... :rasberry:
  18. I dont believe it is, especially if its purple. It will gum up the works. I just use DOT4.
  19. Congrats on your "new" purchase. It looks like you scored a good deal. Watch out for that Steve character though.........
  20. And I cant say a word while my bike is still on the lift......
  21. Hmmmm, I know where you live...........
  22. I cant tell ya, or i'd have to, well, you know........
  23. Had to pry myself away from the gauges at Pep Boys today......

    New bike

Dang it woman...it was 1:41 in the AM!!
  25. My .02: I have used 107 octane years ago in my Chevelle which had 11.5:1 compression. The RSV has 10.1 compression. I personally use 89 octane in it. Most say 87 is fine for this bike but in my experiences 89 works better, at least for me. 93 didnt do a thing.
