You mean the allen head cap bolt on the side of the bracket where it bolts to the fender support? If thats it I dont have one. But you can take another off and match it up at lowes.

Nope, no working on the bike. It was all pleasure. That didnt sound right, did it?

Update on the deflectors. My friend came by yesterday with several variations of the deflectors. First let me say that the finished product is really nice. However, there still needs to be some tweaking to them. His machine is on the fritz right now but we may be able to use his brothers machine up in GA. This time I'll probably take the bike up there for a better fit. But, if we can work the kinks out ill post some pics of them. I'll repeat, they look real nice.

Finally finished wiring up those dam LED lights. A real PIA if you want it to look good and do the proper wire routing. Had to remove the fairing, lowers and upper, neck side covers, seat, gas tank, engine dog bones, rear seat, saddlebags, battery side and center cover. Im going to hate putting it all back together now. I just know that I will have extra bolts left over. I always have extra parts left over. I just put them in a bin.......someday ill find out where they were from..........

Got the stebel horn on mine and its 139db. Hid the relay under the right side battery box. If you go that way get the mounting bracket from Carbon One. Fits perfectly.

Good looking kid. Never saw the first post so a late congrats is in order.

Rusty, while I agree with you that the Metzeler tires are great handling tires and I used to love them, I will never use them again. I ran 3 sets of Metz tires. Two of the three lost chunks of rubber. Metz customer service was indifferent to the problem and accused those who complain about them that they are not using the proper air pressure, which in my case was baloney. You should monitor the rear tire for and bubble formation and/or those "points" or triangular grooves on the rear tire lifting/cracking or just completely missing.

I average 37-40 mpg and my bike is carb tuned and color tuned with iridium plugs. One you push it past 70 though, those 4 32mm carbs start to suck it down fast. I once ran the interstate at a steady 95 mph and I needed fuel 120 miles later.

Kinda reminds me of the joke about how many pollacks does it take to change a lightbulb......

Kinda swept in here like the President sneaking into Iraq, but Squid, Lonna and Heather came, ate, wined, hot tubbed, caked, Zeused, slept, breakfasted, Zeused some more and are now gone.......even made special hash brown for Squid. Nothing better than a couple of "Fat Bastards" getting together for some hot tub action......I sure hope no one took those pics. Thanks guys..it was great seeing yous again.

Those tire prices seem to be the going rate for an online order. Local dealer here wanted 189.00 for the front tire only, no installation.

What bugged me with that web site was not having an 800 number to call if there are any problems.

Help With lowering front end
1BigDog replied to Fladiver40's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I'd say that if your lowering the front end then the valves should be above the tree. Normal position they will be flush with the top of the tree. -
Just wonder if its excessive gas.......

Rings in the eyes..proton stuff..hmmm, maybe we should call you the BionicBird.... Seriously, this sounds like good news to me. We'll keep praying for a great outcome.

I have used Chrome Glow in the past. Excellent company to do business with. I had bought their Bluntz windshield light and the light itself was defective. I mailed it back (with a return auth from them) and within a few days I received a new one.
