  1. All you guys are a bunch of lightweights...I would have used a good old fashioned Brillo pad............ :whistling:
  2. Just got the new JP catalog today. Kuryakyn and Barons finally came out with Bar End Weights for those of us with Iso Grips. Barons are available now while Kurys come out in June. Its about time.....:mo money:
  3. You will need a set of brackets to make them fit. Look in the classifieds under second gen parts and look for the brackets made by Hillis. Most of us run Road King mufflers. But Im pretty sure most full dress HD mufflers will fit. Were you offered them for free? And what condition are they in? For a comparison I paid 30.00 on ebay for mine brand new in 2004...
  4. Nope, didnt see that coming either. Sure hope we can hook up before you go. Be safe there Little Brother........
  5. Below are pics of the relay located under the fairing and the wire you can attach the relay to for power as you described. Its the red wire with the yellow or white stripe. Just follow the red wire from the tip of the screwdriver in the pic to see what I mean. I ran a lead to the battery where I located my fuse. Makes it easier to change a fuse under the seat rather than split the fairing later.
  6. Definitely been repainted.....
  7. Yep, I took a shot myself......and I have spam blockers
  8. Now that mod I like. I originally bought those portholes for my airbox also but wound up using them on the saddlebags. However that add on to the airbox looks great. Looks like im going to be spending some more money this weekend...
  9. Hang in there Cindy, at least hes still in jail. While im not defending the defense atty he is required, however distasteful, to use due diligence when representing his client (and I want to barf at that word client). As far as the other trials are concerned, its really sad that there are "Monsters" roaming around out there. The need to be roasted at the spit.

    Boned again

    Yea...certifiable all right.........
  11. Just an idea, but those stock Yamaha saddlebag rails sometimes sit at an odd angle, usually higher at the rear and from the side they look slightly off. There is a mod out there where you can measure the mounting hole on the rear of the fender rail and drill a new hole to lower the breaket some to make it level with the bottom of the bags. I didnt want to drill into the fender rails so I ended up elongating the hole on the rear of the saddlebag rails at an angle which would allow it to slide up or down as needed. A little EyeBall engineering is all you need. And a good step drill bit....
  12. Another members bike was in a wreck and we took measurements off of my bike and compared it to his. It all looked ok with the exception of the wraparound rear section, which we was able to square away with no problem. Look for the obvious cracks. Jack it up and see if any stress cracks appear anywhere, especially around the fork/neck area as well as the swing arm area. You didnt say if it was a 1st gen or a 2nd gen. The 1st gens have a funky skeletal framework under the fairing that can get out of whack.
  13. Didnt see the post yet....those are yamaha rails from 1999. Now if you want to swap those brand new "thinner" rails for my "Beefier" ones we can arrange something....
  14. How about pearl white with Flip-Flop flames??
  15. Try this..I have it on my bike...http://www.nopork.com http://nopork.com/imagesprod/th_PN01315.jpgTurn Signal Conversion Kit for Yamaha All Stars, Suzuki cruiser up to 2003, all Honda excluding, vtx (n), cruisers $52.45
  16. Check out www.clearviewshields.com They offer a great product along with several different heights.
  17. Looks good, but then all 2nd gens look good.
  18. Thanks Eck....too bad I had to hide that highly polished caliper cover....
  19. If they cant duplicate it make sure that they document your complaint at the very least. It may help you in the future should something arise from this.
  20. I saw that pic a while ago. He ran into the back of a Yellow Freight trailer.
  21. Stock R/K mufflers sound slightly throatier than the RSV pipes. I have mine open all the way now. Not too loud but sometimes at high speeds it gets to be a bit too much in the cockpit area. Mostly running at 80+ on the interstate.
  22. Good news to hear Don. Hope your last treatment goes well and you all have a safe trip home.
  23. I think this is what your looking for. I just wired in this set in white led's and added an additional 2 lights. http://www.cyclegear.com/images/StreetAcc/streetfx_electropods_kit_blu-blk_MD.jpgThe two long strips at the bottom go under the saddlebags. I paid 74.99 plus 19.99 for the additional lights.
  24. Nope, not bag lights...just those stick on buick port hole looking things you can get at Wal-Mart. The mufflers are reverse slash Harley Road King mufflers. $30.00 off of Ebay new from a 2004 R/K Way back in 2004. Hillis on this site also sells the mounting brackets. A much cheaper and good looking solution to spending hundreds of bucks on Bubs or something similar. Thanks for all the compliments on the bike. Its like having a gorgeous woman and it costs as much too. A little blink of the headlight and you open your wallet and spoil the b****. :mo money:
