Ken, glad you found a dealer that was able to fix your bike....too bad you had to go up north to find one. Sounds like you had a good trip too........and whats wrong with needley trees??? Stay up there one winter and see just how those needley trees look then.....

Do what most of us here have done...order a carbtune from Morgan. Best 90 bucks I ever spent......unless you count that encounter with that sexy call gi, er, nevermind......:whistling::whistling:

Do not use Rain-ex on a stock factory windshield, unless you want to replace it. The stock shield has a coating on it that will get discolored. Unly shield that seems to be able to use Rain-ex is the Clearview shield. I just use Plexus on mine.

At least Avon has some good customer service, unlike the morons at Metzeler.

Any 99 to 09 shock will work. The difference with the 04 and up is an added vent hose. My 99 now has an 06 shock on it.

Ken, glad you like them. My friend put many hours of hand sanding and polishing into them. Just upkeep them with some good polish and they should last a long time. And yes, they mount into the existing holes. Enjoy your trip and be safe. If you come through Jacksonville give me a shout. Maybe we can hook up for lunch or something.

I had to hang my hose where I did because of the placement of the aux fuse panel right behind the battery. It was much easier to hang it out the rear of the seat area.

I hung my hose between the plastic backing behind the seat, right over the shocks schrader valve..hope you can make out the pics.

OH boy...your gonna get it now!!!!!!!! Actually, the dealer will never know that you plugged the AIS unless you tell them. If you remove the system while under warranty then you would have a problem.

Whoops, I dont know how I did it but I have some of the names out of order. When tracking the orders I must have jumped a page. Dusty and RayRider were actually #'s 8 & 9. Sorry about that. RayRiders set was already shipped but im in the process of correcting the orders in the order that they were received. Sorry guys..... OK, it seems that I had crossed some from the first and second pages...got it straight now.

I was going to recommend looking into the ABF thing too. I see their flatbeds down here all the time. Looks like they move it similar to a PODS thing.
