I think you have way too much angles in there. Best bet is to mark off your stock shield using blue masking tape and see which height appeals to you. I have the clearview xxl on mine and its just about stock size. Clearviews shield angles a few inches back at the top over the stock shield, which is more upright. Mostly, the height is determined by your height while seated and what your comfy with. Id venture to guess that anything below 18" will put you over the top of the shield, unless your a pigmy dwarf......

I heard a loud howl coming from the sidecar.....Zeus spotted the bear with dans gloves and he was going nuts.....he wanted a piece of that bear but the bear fended off his attacks with those protective gloves..........

Boy Bill, you sure dont hang out with my HD buddies.....I get bashed all the time. And they make fun of the fact that I wear Harley boots with the logo on the sole. I just tell them the reason I wear them is to mash the logo into the ground every time I walk....

Clearview Windshields

Duck, my Clearview shield has some distortion up top. Thats because of the slightly upturned lip for wind deflection. Maybe your shield isnt the right height for you? When I first got mine I sat right at the top line and I saw the distortion. As I lost weight and sat lower in the seat the distortion was less and less. Now its perfect. You just might need a taller shield, or a shorter one if thats your preference. Since the shield also angles back farther than stock you will get more reflection off of the gas cap. I have the leather cover on mine. -

Well, seeing that its all labor and it only takes me 15 minutes tops, id say something smells rotton. Before I bought my carbtune for 99 bucks I stopped at a local shop (not yamaha) for a quote. I figured that since the owner owns a Royal Star it should be a breeze. Right.....he wanted 150.00 to do it. While I cant begrudge a shop from making money, they kinda box themselves in when they charge by the hour for a simple thing as a carb sync that we all know may only take 1/2 hr tops to do.

As I approached from the south I saw the huge, black storm clouds and cracks of lightning. I pulled over to the side and quickly pulled the top over the sidecar, effectively covering Zeus and Xena from the elements. I donned my NASA waterproof suit and motored on. Zeus still stuck his head out even though he would be drenched. With Dragon riding on my gas tank we hit the interstate at speeds over 100 mph, desperate to make it to Nashville on time...........

All depends on my work situation.

I have been to the Charlie Horse several times. During bike week its a mad house there. Parking lot is usually full and so is the restaurant. You would be real lucky to get a table together much less seating for maybe 30 of us at one time. We did a M&E several years ago at Martins, an oceanfront restaurant in A1A in Flagler beach. JRichard, you were there too. Our seats were scattered and there was no hang-out area outside to shoot the bull. This is one of the reasons why I like the US-1 restaurant (old Sly Fox). I have never been to the first turn either so I cant comment on it. That being said, you guys decide where you all want to meet up. Im game for anything. Im not committing to anything right now because of some bad things going on at work right now.

I wish I could eat italian but alas I cant. Im limited to steak now. I gave up all of my bad habits since you last saw me. I dont know....I kinda like that place. Food is good..parking is good.... BS area is good....but do you think those Georgia troublemakers will show up this time???
