Eddie, I thought I saw you pulling out. I havent seen you in 5 years so I didnt recognize you. You were just pulling out of the parking lot and I wondered if it was you. I got there late myself because the bike broke down on the way and we ended up caging it there. We were sitting outside in the Tiki Hut area right in the middle. I emailed you my cell #..shoulda called. Sorry we missed ya. Jean and myself, Coach from Ohio, FootsieBiker, Screamstone, Steve from Edgewater, LetHimRide and Georgia, Hig'4 and wife was there too. And a few others whose names escape me...sorry, old age, were there. JRichard was running real late and didnt make it in time but he did get down there safely.

The picture didnt come out but this battery from Batteries Plus stores is plain crap. I bought my first one last year and right out of the box it had a bad cell. They replaced it and off I went. 8 Months later it dropped another cell. My charging system was working fine but I went ahead and repalced the starter solenoid just in case. Sat morning we headed out to Daytona and stopped for gas about 5 miles from the house. Went to start it and poof...nothing. Trailered it home, pulled the battery Sunday and took it to Batteries Plus today. Yep, dropped another cell. He also informed me that it was out of warranty but he will honor it since I had such bad luck with it. I had him credit me and special order a stock Yuasa, which will take a week to get in. Only cost me 10 bucks difference. Local Yammie dealer wants 135 for his. Bottom line, while Batteries Plus bent over backwards to accomodate me, their batteries aint worth the plastic theyre wrapped in. Their Oddesy batteries were 169.00 so ill just stick with the Yuasas now. http://www.batteriesplus.com/products/59-CC/5380-Motorcycle-Batteries/340611-Yamaha/2007-DASH--DASH-1996/XVZ1300-Royal-Star/images/Product/icon/32753.jpgXtreme Permaseal High Performance AGM Jet Ski, Powersport Battery - XTAX20HL-BS

Squidley!!!!......who found out the age old question whether a bear poops in the woods is a true statement after stepping in the slop and was busy doing his own clean the shoe dance:dancefool:. Oh where oh where did he appear from you may ask......Why Pardner, im'a making my way to Texas he said, and I saw this strange ritual taking place and I thought id stop to offer some help. Once I realized that I actually knew this band of fruitcakes I thought I could slip away quietly but, no, those dang ol' bears and their poop. A loud scream erupted from the back of the group and we all stepped aside while this flaming second gen came blasting through. As the rider removed his helmet a GASP came from the crowd. OMG said the women, it's..........

:backinmyday:We were all hiding somewhere is the forest, eating all that leftover chocolate and having a merry old time ourselves............Since the DragonSlayer was indulging himself in whimsy we all decided to let him frolic amongst his peers and eat the chocolate. After a while some of us began to realize that 20 lbs of chocolate and 2 kegs of beer dont mix very well and most of us were going into some sort of a sugar induced halucinagetic spasm:starz: and no one was in sight to help us....we were doomed, unless............

Now heres a real bright bulb........ Robber Loses Wallet, Asks Victim To Return It Man Asked Victim To Meet At Service Station POSTED: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 UPDATED: 3:44 pm EDT October 14, 2009 LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Police said a would-be robber was in jail after losing his wallet during the attempted robbery then phoning the victim and asking for it to be returned. Little Rock police said the 23-year-old man was arrested on robbery charges Tuesday. Police said the man tried to rob a man at gunpoint at his home but fled and dropped his wallet then later called and told the man to return the wallet at a service station in North Little Rock. If the head is still intact and since you cut those slots I dont see where an impact driver would do any damage. I have used it many times on those soft bolts. I usually replace them with new hex head bolts. As a matter of fact, both tank bolts are now hex bolts. You dont need to pound the impact tool into submission, just make sure the driver tip is sitting in the slot fully and true and a couple of firm whacks should do it. And yes, do take some pressure off the bolt by raising the tank slightly.

As long as the bike was maintained, rust shouldnt be an issue. I live in Jacksonville FL right off the St Johns river and a few miles off the ocean. Other than a few specks of rust hiding in some welds it has not been an issue. If the guy left it outside all the time and didnt keep it waxed and polished then maybe. Same goes for the electrics. Mine is 10 years old and I just went through a bunch of electrical issues but most of the connections were in good shape. A few had some corrosion but that was taken care of with some elbow grease and dialectric grease.

I can list many of the wrong things the dealer did to my bike when it was in for warranty repair but the most glaring ones are leaving the windshield loose and only tightening 1 bolt which cracked the fairing (they replaced it), Leaving one bolt out completely on the rear caliper and finding out about it at 2 am with a loud knocking sound while coming home from work and leaving the gas line disconnected.

Dang Gene..id thought you would have finished my project by now........

As I led the pack it crossed my mind that Atlanta DragonSlayer may just have the hots for me. He keeps gushing about my "Roses":whistling:....so, its time to really show those 1st genners what a second gen can do as I bring the revs up to 8 grand, hopefully staying WAY ahead of Bob. With Annie riding behind me I know im safe. If anyone tries to overtake me she will whack them with her neat sticks. Spotting trouble up ahead..........

I live in Florida too and I used to remove my fork deflectors in the summer. Since I went with the vented Clearview shield I have not had to remove the deflectors. Even with the new deflectors (wider and longer than stock) I still had no issues with heat. Im also running the lower fairing seflectors which direct air much better than no deflectors. On hot days the RSV engine will cook the inside of your thighs though. Smells like chicken BBQ'ing.....

Mine is 10 years old and it dont wobble. Check your air pressure in the tire and if its low, take it up to 42-44 lbs then give it a try. Mine did wobble but it turned out the fork bearings were a touch loose. You could get the bike up in the air and, with the handlebars dead center, push the bar either left or right and see if it feels real loose and sloppy or if it rotates smoothly. It should rest gently against the fork stops. If it bounces back easily then chances are the bearing needs to be snugged down. Since its an 09 I would most definitely let the dealer do this. There is an article in the tech section addressing this issue. But check the tire pressure first, front and rear. rear should be about 45 lbs. I run 45 lbs in the rear shock and 5 lbs up front.
