    Congrats on your new bike and welcome to the club. As far as the tire goes, check your air pressure. If its below 40 lbs bring it up to 44 and see how it feels. The factory tires leaves a lot to be desired. Most of us switch over to Avon Venoms once they wear out. Since your bike is under warranty have the dealer check out the tapping.

    OK, so we went up to Dans brothers shop in Savannah today to roll and bend the 28 sets of deflectors........we left with 27 sets. That darn hydraulic press is so sensitive. Were waiting on a new arbor for the polishing wheel to come in this week then we, or I should say Dan will begin polishing the sets.

    Got back from Tampa about an hour ago. 468.2 miles round trip. When I was younger it wasnt so bad but at 54 my body aches in places I never knew existed. Couldnt wait to flop into the bed. Going through Orlando on I-4 also has to be one of the lousiest driving experiences I had to deal with. Those gagers are getting worse out there. 55 MPH through downtown Orlando and I was rolling at 65 and cagers were trying to run me off the road. Felt like a cat swishing his tail in a room full of rocking chairs. Only saw one Venture all day and that was a 1st gen heading East on I-4 around Lakeland. Plenty of H/D's and wings out though. Also plan on putting my stock mufflers back on. Those drilled out R/K pipes sound good for local riding but sure do invade your space at a sustained 80 mph. Still hear the sound resonating through my head. Waved at ya Squid.......feel the breeze??

    Weather is supposed to be beautiful Sunday with temps in the low 80's so were heasding to Tampa (Brandon) for a nice Sunday ride to see mom in law. (Ok so there has to be a hitch somewhere, right? ) So if you see an absolutely drop dead beautiful 99 silver RSV with an equally stunning driver STOP HIM...he stole my bike.....

    Had a lump cut off the side of my chest today. It started as a tiny speck about July and grew about 1" long and 1/4" wide. No pain but it itched something fierce. My regular doctor couldnt figure it out so she sent me to a general surgeon who cut it off. A biopsy will be done and ill know more in 10 days. It wasnt real deep so im hoping it wasnt serious. Dr said he never saw one like it either. Joys of getting old......

    Well, after meeting with the group on Tuesday I went ahead and joined as an associate member. Told them one of my priorities was to get my RSV pic in Wing World magazine. I was warmly welcomed by the group so I figured ill give it a shot for a year.

    Kbay, most of your largeer key and locksmith shops should be able to make you a spare. I know one here in town that carries 2nd gen blanks.

    Dan cut out the deflectors for the second run today. A total of 28 sets were cut. Our list shows 29 names. What I would like to do is to get a confirmation on your order to see if all 28 will be needed or if we need to purchase another, smaller piece of aluminum, which would be no problem, to fulfill the orders. Only concern we have is damaging any piece while we are bending and rolling them. Last time the bending process ate 4 sets until we got it right. We plan on running up to Savannah sometime this weekend to finish bending them then the polishing will begin sometime next week. We are going to try and get out 5-6 sets a week and as we did last time, you will be notified when we are ready for shipping and payment. So, if you are still interested in these deflectors please let me know.     Yea Eddie, I too gave this some thought. Anyone who knows me knows im not a structured person. Thought about that too. Most of the wing riders I have encountered always seem to place themselves on a higher playing field. Just yesterday, while cruising on A1A I waved to a pack of passing wings and all I got were a bunch of hard stares. Guess im leaning on not joining after taking into consideration all of the responses here.
