  6. I had that same issue with my front tire with the venoms. If you are using Ride-On sealent there may be some build-up on the sides of the rim, or the rim is just getting corroded. Best bet is to remove the tire and clean up the inside of the rim. I used a scotch brite type of wheel to clean it up. When the shop installed the tire I had them seal the bead area with a sealing compound. Solved my problem... Some shops wont use it so you may have to search around. It doesnt do any damage and it just seems to be the shops preference whether to use it or not. Might want to change out those tire valves while your at it. I angled my rear one to face the right side of the bike and added an angled one up front as well..angled right too.

  11. This is killer....... · 1 1/2 cup milk · 1 1/2 cup heavy cream · 1/2 cup imported parmesan cheese, grated · 1/2 cup imported romano cheese, grated · 6 egg yolks from fresh jumbo eggs · salt and pepper to taste Directions 1. Heat milk and cream in a heavy bottom saucepan until it begins to simmer. 2. Turn off heat. 3. Slowly whip in cheese, then remove from heat. 4. Place egg yolks in a separate bowl and slowly whip in a portion of the hot milk and cream mixture. 5. Slowly add egg mixture back into remaining cream mixture. 6. Place back on very low heat and continually stir until simmering. 7. Take sauce off heat so it thickens. 8. (This will increase temperature of egg yolks, known as tempering.) 9. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 10. Serve over your favorite pasta.

  17. Does it seem to you all that car/mcy batteries just dont seem to last as long anymore? I mean I remember when most of my car batteries lasted more than 4 years, some 5 years. I bought my Chevy Trailblazer new in 2002. I just now put in its 4th battery today. Had lunch at Mojos BBQ and came out and the truck was dead. Nice waitress boosted me and I made it home. Yep, she was stone cold dead again. Load test showed a bad battery. DMM says its charging so im good there. Original died at 2 year mark while the others made it 2 1/2 years before they too pooped out. The last 2 were Napa Batteries. Replaced it with a battery from O'reilly's Auto Parts. 84 month warranty with the first 3 years free exchange. Figure if I get another 2 1/2 out of it at least it will be replaced for free.
  18. Here ya go Annie...and half price too!! http://www.flagpoletogo.net/store/index.php?cPath=27_21.
  19. Ive used them many times with great results. I say lets give them the business. They have always been fair with us.
  20. Don, i've been down that steep staircase of yours and its no fun. I had a hard enough time with my arthritis going up and down there so I can definitely feel your pain. Glad you didnt hurt yourself worse. Maybe its time to add a banister to those steps in the garage too. Heres hoping that 2010 will be much better for you........
  21. Mine does the same thing too after sitting for a few weeks without firing it up. It did it this AM and the temps were in the 40's. As long as it aint "chuffing" smoke out then there is nothing to worry about.
  22. I cant add to anything that was already said but hang in there and cherish their memories. Many times I have thought to myself as I approach my mid 50's that 2/3rds of our lives have already been lived and were approaching the downhill slide so to speak. All you can do is to make the best of it because some things just arent in our control. Prayers sent for all of their friends and family members.
  23. Grew up with Janis...Hendrix too.....Great musicians but they cut themselves down way too early in their lives. Look up Susan Tedeschi..she kinds of reminds me of Janis Joplin. Saw her perform here a few years ago and I was impressed.

    Why?

    Why????? Fuggedabout it!!!!!
  25. I have the red sears jack now for about 5 years and its just fine. Harbor Freight jack uses weaker bolts (cheaper grade) and could shear off when the bike is up. Carbon One lift adapter is one of the best investments you could make.
