I have had my Barnett with carbon fiber discs in the bike since 2004 and ridden 40k since with no issues.

Yea, what Gary said...replace those bolts, no matter how good you think they look. If I remember right the torque specs were a little less, like 6 lbs.

Probably busted for distribution/usage of 1000 kilos of ice cream and the kidnapping of the Bungalow Bar driver....:essen_018::essen_018:

You never said you had a maintenance agreement in your first post......If its part of it then I would raise hell.
-
Sorry Mike but maintenance items like grease and oil changes are normal "wear" items and you can be charged for it, unless the neck bearings were being replaced under warranty for premature wear/breakage. If its just plain maintenance your out of luck.

Since im working on retiring within the next 3 years I may never be able to afford a new bike, much less a revamped RSV. Not that I cant handle the payments but I choose to get myself debt free within 1-2 years. So it looks like my trusty 99 will have to last a little while longer. I truly dont see Yamaha coming up with anything new for the RSV until the economy picks up. However, if I did have the extra cash the new 2011 HD Road Glide Ultra caught my eye. I always liked the RG fixed fairing and now its a full Ultra model. 24k is still a lot of wood though. Im not a big HD fan but the bike looks sweet. Either that or a Triumph Rocket 3.

Go to www.partshark.com and look up the parts fiche. Price was 134 bucks last time I looked. http://www.partshark.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=47261&category=Motorcycles&make=YAMAHA&year=2000&fveh=943 I looked up the MM model and it was 186 bucks but the regular venture was 135 bucks. Dont know what the difference is there but the switch is the same.

If you like ice cream and we all know that we do you owe it to yourself if your ever down Florida way to seek this brand out and try it. I know we all love our DQ but this stuff beats DQ hands down....... http://www.workingcow.com/ Me and Jean have two shops we make a special ride to. One is in Fernandina Beach FL right in the middle of the downtown area. We get our Waffle cones and hang out on a park bench watching all the strange tourists. The other one is a roadside stand on the north end of Flagler Beach. Ocean view as well as bikini view. Just downright good stuff....

Hang in there Don...prayers sent.

Your local Yamaha dealer can look it up for you as well as any previous warranty issues. If they say they cant, they're lying to you. Mine did it for me.
