  1. I think we just had a member sell a rear wheel assembly that was fairly new for under 150 bucks.
  2. I would get the carbon fiber discs to go along with the new pressure plate. If your stock steel plates look good with no burn marks and are all level I would go ahead and re-use them. If you opt for the Barnett it should come with new bolts. If not make sure you buy NEW BOLTS. The old ones will break on you. I used allen head bolts on mine.
  3. Prayers sent...............
  4. I could have had an inground pool with what it cost for Jean's root canals over the years. Now im looking at 2k for an implant to replace a tooth that collapsed, a tooth that had a root canal several years ago. At least our dentist takes interest free payments.
  5. My 265wt wasnt part of the recall......whew:smile5:
  6. I have wavered over the last year about weather to go with a C/T. Both arguments are valid but I do notice one emerging pattern. Most of the wobble issues seem to be from a C/T, unless your running a brickstone. A few friends of mine run a C/T and love them but I see many here in this forum who have bad experiences with them. I personally have an issue with the bead seating area difference. Makes me wonder. Another issue that crosses my mind is insurance companies. For arguments sake lets say someone running a C/T has a bad accident and some smart insurance adjuster sees a C/T on the rear and decided to dis-allow the claim. I personally havent seen this happen yet but makes one wonder. If a lawsuit was involved you can bet some attorney will notice it. Just my thoughts on this issue. And while I have leaned toward the C/T from time to time I never had any issues with my Avons.
  7. It seems that we all get different tire mileage figures. Some get really great numbers while others get pretty lousy ones. Makes me wonder if the different types of road surfaces around the country have an affect on tire wear. Some surfaces use a ground glass mixture, vs concrete, vs...you get the point. I've averaged about 13-14k on my rears. Maybe 20k on the front.
  8. :group cheers: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY YOU TWO!!!
  9. Good luck with the surgery, Don. Prayers sent as well.

  11. I use the Morgan Carbtune. Hasnt failed me yet.
  12. I prefer the 150 tire over the 130. I tried the 130 for about 1500-2000 miles and I just didnt like the highway handling. Since I run over 75 mph (closer to 85-90) on the interstate I felt the bike was squirrily at those speeds. Never felt that with the 150. I replaced it with a 150 and all is well. If its easier steering your looking for try the leveling links from Diamond R along with the 150. But for me the stock links and the 150 works fine. I too like the Avons. I havent tried the E3's yet since I never had issues with the Avons. Why ruin a good thing? Metzelers....no...period! I prefer my rubber to stay on the tire. I also use Ride-On sealant. Only thing I suggest with ride on is clean the rim every tire change or it will build up over time and get messy in there. Took a scotchbrite wheel on a drill to clean mine up along with acetone. My fault for letting it go for three tire changes. Product seals holes well, much better then the Green stuff. Tire preference is a pretty personal matter, much like oil brand, etc. Were all partial to one brand over another for various reasons. You wont go wrong with the E3's, or the Avons.
  13. Looks good...you did well, but keep in mind...ITS NEVER FINISHED!!!!!

  24. http://www.argusanalyzers.com/battery-monitors/applications/motorcycle-powersports.html Bobby, for some peace of mind install one of these gauges. Make sure you get the powersports model. It will let you know if your heading for a battery failure.
