  1. Mm. That was unclear. Rear brake is the issue. I just replaced the clutch discs so I wasn't able to tell if the oil I'm seeing coating the lines is brake fluid from the brake lines, or oil from the case. I'll take a look at it tonight.
  2. Riding last week and noted that the brake needed to be depressed further than normal to engage so I thought maybe and adjustment was needed before new pads. Got clear into the "spongy" feel a few days later. Yesterday while riding it lost all resistance. Spring was the only thing giving it any tension. Hooked up a vacuum pump and ran fresh fluid through it. Never got a consistent stream of fluid into the collection tank and hose had lots of bubbles but I could watch the fluid going down on the resevoir. It is back to spongy resistance and is braking the bike, but it's not 5 by 5 yet. I cannot see any clear leaks but I replaced the clutch spring and friction discs so I need to recheck it today now that I've gotten all of the oil cleaned up and given it an opportunity to leak again.
  3. That would be awesome. Let me know and thanks ese.
  4. Looking for a set of the Baron/LA Choppers Oval Bag-Slash Slip-On Mufflers (BA-1030). I absolutely LOVE that sound and I'm hoping that someone just didn't like them and want to get rid of them. Let me know if you have a set and what you need for them. Located in Central Texas.
  5. My name is Trey and I hail from West-ish Texas. I'm a Nursing Home Administrator and love motorbikes. Previous scoot was a Honda Valkyrie and loved it, but my current needs put me wanting something with better fuel mileage (I commute about 2 hours round-trip per day) and I'm at an age that I'm interested more in comfort. Spent some time looking around and found that the Royal Star Midnight Ventures checked the boxes I wanted and looked good doing it. Found that the Venture shared a lot of the same technology as the Valk (shaft drive etc), but was designed to be easy to access for maintenance. It was a good move. Like the Valkyrie, I suspect that finding mechanincs that will tear into these Ventures will be difficult, so I wanted to introduce myself here and position myself with access to experience and hopefully some walk throughs on maintenance and repairs. Found quite a few good ones on YouTube. Looks like it's going to be one of the easiest big-bikes I've services and I cannot quantify how excited about that I am. For example, air boxes that don't require tank removal to get access has me giddy.
